Dr. Ronald P. Scardetta grew up locally, having attended McQuaid High School where he graduated with honors. He then attended and graduated with honors from St. Bonaventure University in the Southern Tier, majoring in biology with a minor in medical ethics. From there he chose to earn his dental degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He graduated in the top ten percent of his class clinically in 1983.
Upon returning to the area, the doctor worked as an associate dentist in several private practices including Irondeqoit, Perinton, and Canandaigua. With this valuable and varied experience and a growing patient base, he then opened his own private practice in early 1991 in Webster where he continues to practice today.
Dr. Scardetta's calm, thorough and reassuring way has turned many dental phobics into great patients who no longer dread the thought of their next appointment. The doctor feels that along with outstanding proficiency in all aspects of general dentistry, what …sets him apart is his patience and concern for patient comfort. The doctor is regularly complimented for his ability to give painless injections!
Along with the rapidly growing practice, the doctor started up the Beechnut Dental Assisting Program in 1999. It is the only program of its kind in the area, and it has placed many quality dental assistants in practices from Geneva to Buffalo, and especially Rochester.
The doctor and his wife, Judy, have two children, Max and Tessa. Max is currently at St Bonaventure and Tessa is in the Webster school system.
