I have never had such an awful experience with a doctor. He did not listen to my symptoms and kept interrupting in the middle of my sentences saying, “yes yes and what else”. He jumped to a diagnosis whose main symptom was not even a complaint I had, and offered a very powerful medication. Once I said I was not interested in medication to treat pain, since that was not my complaint he said I needed to exercise more. He didn’t even ask if I already exercise. During the physical exam he did not ask permission to lift my shirt to expose my abdomen, nor did he warn me that’s what he was going to do. There was no nurse present during the exam and it made me very uncomfortable. At the end of the visit I told him I did not agree with his diagnosis, and told him why. I’ve been a nurse for 18 years. He said he didn’t know I had those other symptoms. He also said “you seem like you don’t like drs very much!”He had interrupted me so much that I never even got to some of the symptoms. He… ended up walking out of the room as I was continuing to ask questions and seek additional information about my symptoms and a diagnosis.

Poor listener, jumps to conclusions without hearing what the patient is saying.
