Dr. Ronald John Solar, MD

I have never been seen at Dr. Solar's new place of business, but Dr. Solar saved my life when I was a little girl. He was then at Middletown Hospital and I was a middle-schooler. At some point during the blizzard of 1978 I developed pneumonia and nearly died after a long stint in an oxygen tent and intravenous feeding. Dr. Solar was so kind and he never gave up. Eventually, his choice of administering Erythromycin saved my life and I have been trying to find him and thank him for years! It's amazing that I still remember nearly every moment in great detail. Never for moment did he make me feel like all hope was lost. He was always encouraging. It was only after I recovered that my mother told me she was told I was going to die. Believing he's about to lose a patient has to be hard for any doctor and, believe me it's no picnic for the patient either. If I never get to tell him personally I will say it here! "Dr. Solar, thank you for the countless hours you spent finishing… medical school and for choosing pediatrics! May all your choices be led by God himself as I believe they were all those years ago when He used you to save my life! My husband and our two boys thank you with all of our hearts (They've heard the story many times!). May God grant you many more years of successful service to the many children who need your help and may he meet your every need!" My ratings are because I cannot believe Dr. Solar could have changed after all of these years! A good heart never changes! I am sure he has a top notch staff, but I cannot rate them because I have not experienced their service.
