Dr. Ronald Evert Wiisanen, MD

This is the kindest most friendly dr I have ever met. He cares about you he always smiles, he does his homework on your medical problems. I wish every docter was like him, I wouldnt dread going to my appoinments. He makes you feel like you belong, gives you a self esteem boost, explains everything hes doing. And kindly will explain it again if you dont understand. He spends time with his patients. There are not enough words to describe this Dr. He is just Great at being human and a docter. Maybe he should teach other docters.

If you want an automatic test for strep throat or an immediate diagnosis of mono - this is your guy! He keeps the strep test collector right in his pocket; its so handy. :) I had to go back the following week to another provider and was finally prescribed two rounds of antibiodics for an out of control sinus infection. I have chronic sinus issues but he didn't bother to even look. He just said it'd be "doing" malpractice if he didn't force me to take a strep test. Sanford medical review said he acted just fine. I've since relocated all care to Essentia.

Dr. Wiisanen has a weight loss program that has no proven efficacy. My impression is that he is in this for the money and the prestige from peers rather than out of a genuine compassion for humankind or wanting to help the overweight become healthier. He seems inflexible and offended by questions.
