Dr. Ronald M Winchel, MD

Dr. Winchel is a wonderful doctor and a great person. He is extraordinarily knowledgeable and up to date. There is no better psychopharmacologist.

I had a reprieve lasting 20 years from 13 years of the worst 'Depersonalization' suffering from this terrible malady and yet functioning in life, each casting a T.V. . The reprieve gave me my life back. When it sadly returned, I was sent to Dr. Ron who has thought out amazing ways to attack this 'no quality of life' disorder. He has helped to reduce by 50 to 80% one of the most difficult diagnosis that there has no cure. I seem to keep getting better with Dr. Ron and I have learned to listen very closely to his counsel. He is still working to make me even more 'clear' and not a victim of the disease. Only Psychiatrist to whom I would go.

Due to the wrong diagnosis by several expert doctors over several years, I ended up in a Psych ward. The Doctor there recommended Winchel as one of the leading experts on Bipolar and pharmacology. He changed my life. I think he is amazing and a lifesaver. I still suffer but he understands, has empathy but brings a ton of knowledge and the right combination of what you need to survive.

I was Dr Winchel's patient for some years before my psychotherapist convinced me to make a change--much needed as I realize now. Winchel was erratic and at times hostile. After I canceled my last appointment, not mentioning I was leaving him, I never heard from him again to inquire as to my wellbeing. I glimpsed him recently on the street before he ducked into a store to avoid me. I am depressive, introverted--hardly the troublesome sort folks go out of their way to avoid.

Dr. Winchell, who I saw for chemistry disorder for more years than I can remember, is terrific, always on the cutting-edge of medications to treat every chemical imbalance. He has helped many people I've sent to him. He's s terrific.

I have seen other psychopharmacologists before: I had never been through such a complete evaluation of my history. And it made me feel that I was in totally competent hands. My therapist is very impressed with him too. And he has helped me a lot. I can now go with my life and have left my depression behind.
