Dr. Ronald Thomas Yuko, MD

This doctor is incompetent. He wanted to order a CT scan with contrast for me, despite the fact that I told him, his assistant, and the check-out person, that I am highly allergic to the contrast dye, even with a pre-prep of Medrol. It is even listed on my chart! I was told the doctor would have to get back to me. No one ever did, but I received a call from Bon Secours scheduling. They informed me they received a script from Dr. Yuko for a CT scan with contrast.

Dr. Yuko performed surgery taking a tumor out of my cheek. There were some healing complications (not through any fault of his) which required continued and frequent draining of the area. Dr. Yuko gladly gave up many Saturdays and Sundays personally opening his office just for me to drain the area. He continued this for several weeks until I was able to heal properly. That was several years ago. When recently I needed his expertise again for a different problem, I thought of and went to no one else. Once again his skills and service was fantastic.

I had made an appt for my daughter as a new patient. I was told my appt was in Simpsonville and so I drove 30 minutes to the Simpsonville location and to find out that my appt was in Greenville. The receptionist acted as if I was supposed to know that they had several locations and that if I got there in 15 minutes they would see her. Very rude receptionist. I had to reschedule her appt and went to the Greenville office.. was told appt was at 3:00 to come in at 2:30 for paperwork.. I had filled everything out and faxed when I walked in at 2:45 b/c my records were already sent.. they said that her appt was at 2:30 not 3 and they couldn't see her. Office staff is just rude in general. Needless to say.. I did not get to see Dr. Yuko.. b/c I refuse to go somewhere.. and get treated poorly!

Dr. Yuko said he was spraying Afrain in my nasopharynx to open the airway while examining. Instead he sprayed a numbing agent like lidocaine or benzacaine and proceeded to probe my nasopharynx with proper patient consent. How can a patient have trust when a doc does this? Needs help with communicating with integrity and more respect for patients and their bodies.

Very easy to get appointment, Thorough exam and explanation. No complaints.
