Dr. Ronaldo Aclan Ballecer, MD

One Friday morning at 0730 when my son was 13 yrs. old he had a severe sinus infection which made the whole right side of his face swell up. I took my son to the Emergency room at St. Agnes and we were seen quickly. The ER DR. called Dr. Ballecer who was in surgery that morning upstairs, when he finished his case he came down to see my son. He was the most kind, compassionate man ever, after examining my son he told me that my son needed emergency surgery and he was bumping him in front of the other scheduled cases. My son was only 13 and he was scared but Dr. Ballecer calmed his fears. So after being prepped for surgery my son told me " I love you Mom" and I told him I Love you too then off they took him. After the surgery was over and my son was in the Post Op recovery room he couldn't see clearly due to the fact they had placed eye ointment in his eyes during the surgery, well my son panicked and started yelling which caused a commotion and the nurse came running to calm him down… and explain what was going on. Dr. Ballecer was also present and the nurses brought me to him. When my son was ready to discharge home Dr. Ballecer gave me the instructions to come to his office the next day which was a Saturday because he wanted to see my son and remove the packing himself, well we went to the office and sure enough he was there waiting for us. I can not say enough good about this wonderful man. Thankfully my son has not had any further problems and I credit Dr. Ballecer for that.

I can't say that I am a fan of Dr. Ballecer. He decided that I needed hearing aids with out really listening to my issue. When I speak to him, he decides that what I would like done is not what he wants to do. My ears popped in the middle of the night while I was asleep, I was diagnosed with fluid in the ear by 3 different Dr. and put on antibiotics, the pain and loss of hearing is still there, and when I tell the Dr. that the pressure and pain is from the front of my ear, not behind it and maybe a CT or sinus scan should be done I am ignored. His response, you need hearing aids. I'm sorry Dr. but you don't loose your hearing like this in one night unless a trauma or loud noise happened

DOES NOT EXPLAIN WHY INFECTION HAS NOT BEEN CLEARED UP NOW FOR 2 WEEKS WON'T PRESCIBE ANY ANTIBOTICS JUST WANTS TO CLEAN OUT EARS WEELY TO BILL MY INSURNANCE & GET MY CO-PAYMENT WEEKLY

doctor ballecer is a truly gifted person. is knowledgeable as well as professional

Extremely rude staff.

I am a singer, and was concerned about possible stress. My doctor referred me to Dr. Ballacer but I couldn't get an appointment, so I went to see a different doctor. He belongs to a large group with lots of expensive equipment. After an unsatisfactory experience there (including referrals for lots of tests) I left and called Dr. Ballecer's office again, and was able to get an appointment. I explained my concerns to him, and he immediately did the old tube up the nose procedure to take a look at my cords, declared that everything was fine, and I was on my way.

His staff is awful! I have NEVER waited less than 45 minutes. He prescribes tests and then the office never contacts patients to give feedback/make an appointment. I was standing next to my primary physician when they called Dr. Ballacer's office and told them that I needed an appointment immediately. I did not hear from his office for 10 days. I am extremely concerned about my condition, yet when I ask questions, he acts as if the questions are stupid and he makes comments to me such as, "I don't know; I don't have a crystal ball." This is absolutely uncalled for when speaking with a patient. Funny enough, I have spoken to various former patients of his and have heard similar stories. Another medical professional told me that Dr. Ballacer is excellent if you need surgery, but that they consistantly receive complaints when they send patients to him for any other situation.

the office staff is wonderful and dr. ballacer is awesome

He is very nice at initial appointment and while persuading you to have surgery. Post-op, he is abrupt and not nearly as nice. His staff is slow and don't seem to understand much about medicine at all. He does not do good follow up care or take responsibility for issues caused by surgery he performed.
