Dr. Ronna Louise Monseau, MD

My daughter was having back pain. I took her complaint seriously, as she never complains. Dr. Monseau saw us after we had waited in the exam room quite a while. Her clinic is a very social environment, and it was disappointing, to say the least, to hear her socializing and carrying on about a new boyfriend while my daughter waited patiently in pain. She finally came in and with hardly an exam, pronounced it to be back pain and prescribed Ibuprofen and exercises. Later that day, things took a turn for the worst, and my daughter was diagnosed at an emergency room with an aortic dissection. Thankfully, she survived with a long and complicated hospital stay. I will never refer anyone to Health Matters again. I can still hear the social laughter outside our exam room and understand that to Dr. Monseau, we were less important than that.

I needed to be seen for a headache. I had fallen a week earlier and had developed a headache that seemed to not get any better. After sitting in the exam room for nearly an hour, she came it. I could hear her socializing with the staff the whole time I was waiting. I was sent home with Toradol and Ibuprofen. Three days later I was seen in an emergency department only to find out that I had a subdural hematoma, that had to be surgically drained. This was a life-threatening condition that was passed off as a headache so that she could get back to the office party. She was dressed in clothes that should have been seen at the mall, but not in a doctor's office. I did receive a phone call for follow up. By then, I was recovering from surgery.
