My boyfriend had his medication changed drastically 3 times in just a few weeks, this caused serious problems and he was picked up by an ambulance and placed in inpatient care. Icing on top of the cake? This practice told us he missed an appointment and drafted money out of our account. 1. WE WERE NEVER INFORMED OF ANY MORE APPOINTMENT 2. YOU MESSED HIM UP SO BAD HE HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED (WE HAVE THIS IN WRITING) BEWARE!

She told me that she makes much less money than a surgeon, and therefore she would like to see me every month. Although, I had been seeing the doctor who committed suicide from whom she bought the practice, once every three months for 14 years. Patients are not responsible for lining the pockets of their doctors. People make what they make depending on their choices they made in life. Not a single question about my health, repeated cancelled appointments for her unavailability. Questionable integrity. Of course, when you get paid for writing prescription for patients whom you don't know, whom you did not diagnose, is simply monetizing your license to write prescriptions. One has to build a practice by helping people out, not buying out someone else's practice because you did not plan for your old age. Those who chose to work in the fast foot industry have to live with their decisions. If you chose to be a Psychiatrist, you cannot take it out on your patients. People have this… misguided notion that becoming a physician is about becoming rich fast--they forget that it is about serving people in the first place. These money hungry people who study in other countries, while students here have to carry a loan and study their hears out, come and not only take their jobs but are so mercenary in nature that it is shameful. When they actually say it out loud, it is acknowledgement of moral debasement and their lack of care for human beings. No wonder people are going to Mexico to obtain treatment. The practice of medicine has become a retail business no different from Walmart: so if there was every any expectation of respect that a physician was given it has gone--there is no difference between the physician and my waiter these day. I think they want to be treated as my yard guy or the pool man. These people are generating maximum resentment for their other more moral and ethical colleagues. Anyway, best to stay away from her.

I was a patient of Challapalli's for about three months before i changed doctors. The very first time i met her she made me feel like a number and made my situation feel hopeless. Her first suggestion was EST and then lithium. I'm much happier where i am now.

This is a kind, experienced doctor who really helped me make the right decisions for my health.

She's not so affectionately known as Dr. Shockapalli. ECT is her favorite procedure, and she uses it frequently on elderly and also enlists family members to coerce younger patients into undergoing the brain-damaging "treatment".
