Dr. Was very helpful in explaining why I could take a medication another Dr was reluctant to give me because of my kidneys. Dr. Poonia explained my #'s were good enough to take that particular medication.

Dr Poonia saw me in the hospital when my kidneys were almost completely non functioning. Through the last 18 months my kidneys have regained a remarkable amount of function with his care, as well my blood pressure.

I was very pleased with my appointment. The doctor was right on time and very pleasant. He spent a great deal of time telling me where what the status of my kidney functions were and how they were measured in lab reports. He also explained how electrolyte in balance can cause kidney stones. He is going to follow up with me in two weeks after I get new labs and my CT scan done. And he is working with my urologist at UCSF, and entirely different medical group.
