Summary
I was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, about two hours from Allentown. My family has always been important to me, so I stayed close to home during my education. I attended Bucknell University and graduated from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton. I recently finished my residency training at Geisinger Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, a large academic center in a small town.
My medical education and residency solidified my love for pediatrics. When my daughter was born prematurely while I was in medical school, I was thrust into the world of vulnerable patients and their parents, an experience that deeply shaped me. This personal journey has made me a more empathetic and understanding pediatrician. I enjoy focusing on family-centered care and spending extra time teaching children and their families. As a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, I enjoy reading and staying up to date on current pediatric guidelines.
My happiest …accomplishment in life is my three children. Being a mom has allowed me to relate to parents, especially all the joys and troubling times that accompany raising a family. My favorite aspect of pediatrics is newborn care, and I love helping new parents navigate this exciting new adventure. I plan on using the knowledge and skills I have gained over the years to make a difference in the lives of children of all ages from birth through adolescence. I love being a pediatrician and am excited to have the opportunity to join the wonderful group at the well-established St. Luke’s Coopersburg Pediatrics clinic.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our kids and our dog, who loves kids as much as I do! During the summertime, my children are “water babies.” You can find us near the pool or the creek. We also love traveling to the beach and Disney World, the most magical place on Earth for a pediatrician!
