Dr. Rosanne Margaret Newell, MD

I was not a referred patient to Dr. Newell and after the unconscionable way I was treated I would never give a recommendation for her services. She may know her specialty however will never admit a mistake nor doing anything to rectify one! I was referred to the Solomon Katz Breast Center for a sonogram by a doctor from Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. The technician detected a program and Dr. Newell decided to see me for consultation. I was taken from the doctor referred for me and given instructions by her. She appeared caring and competent at first. A small procedure was done and I contracted MRSA. This is where her uncaring and callousness began. I had to go to my own doctor for treatment, she was too busy. She tried to say the diagnosis was not proven but she would proceed with the main procedure, after the 14 day antibiotics was finished. Instead of proceeding right after the treatment, Dr. Newell coldly delayed said procedure almost 3 weeks, resulting in an emergency… hospitalization for me. And, I still have the initial untreated issue. Dr. Newell even vindictively prevented another doctor from doing my surgery by saying she already had me scheduled. Needlessly, to say I will never allow her to do any procedure on me nor ever go one inch into her office again!!!

She is the best!

I was diagnosed with Breast Ca in 2017 after been referred to Dr Newell by my PCP. Had to have surgery twice, no recurrence of the Ca with a tiny scar, barely noticeable. Dr Newell saved my life but the best part of the experience was her caring, kind and supportive persona. she treated me like family. Do your self a favor don't go anywhere else they will just treat you like a number.

Dr. Newell is the best that's all I have can say. She is very professionally, caring and she has compassion for her patients. I'm so glad I met her through a family member that she help saved. I'm very thankful for her.

This unfortunately was a referral visit. Needless to say I won't be returning. Her behavior was totally unacceptable. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, kindness, and dignity. This Dr. lacked all three. She was outright rude and impatient. Good Drs. are very difficult to find. I do not recommend her. My search continues.

My experience has been excellent. She is very caring and I am extremely happy to have her as my Oncologist. I have been under her care for over six years.

NEWELL IS BY FAR THE MOST COMPASSIONATE DR I HAVE EVER MET, MY MOTHER WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER TWO MONTHS AGO, AND SHE HAS EASED OUR MINDS AND REASSURED US THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE JUST FINE AND I CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW SUPPORTIVE SHE HAS BEEN. THE BEST DR I HAVE KNOWN. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE IN THIS TIME OF NEED.
