Dr. Rosario S Crane, PhD

I can not express how much Dr. Crane has helped me. Suffering from severe depression and on the edge of life, my young granddaughter suggested that I seek medical help. Medication did ease some of the pain, but I needed to deal with the root of my problem. I have been strong my whole life. Now, as a empty nester, I did not have anything to keep my mind too busy to deal with my past........At 5 years old an uncle repeatedly sexually abused me, which was denied by those who should have protected me. My mother has never cared about anyone besides herself, so dealt me much abuse, mental and physical. These two memories finally brought me to a breaking point. At the age of 56 I could no longer function. Dr. Crane knew exactly where I was emotionally and the very first day I left her office I finally had a small Ray of Hope. I have always been strong and took care of those around me, but now it was time to take care of myself. She told me "this is where you can come to cry." It sounds… like a small thing but to me it was huge. Finally a safe haven, a place of intense peace, a place for healing, a place to become strong again! I will never forget the time I spent with her. Today I still struggle, but I can use the tools she taught me to get to the place I need to be. I know it sounds like a cliché, but she saved my life. I'll never forget the last time I saw her. As soon as she saw me she said, " you've found peace!" And she was right!
