I've been a patient of Dr Schumacher for about 2 years and she is everything one could ask of a physician. When there is a concern, like as not I will be in a phone conversation addressing any concern, if not talking directly to her.

While Dr. Schumacher is very invested in her patients, she was often alarmist and over-diagnosed problems. I saw her for a pregnancy and for our newborn. Dr. Schumacher caused me to worry about me and my baby (when we really were both healthy and everything was going fine) and caused A LOT of extra stress at a time when I didn't need anything else stressing me out. However, she did spend a lot of time with us explaining things, and she does really seem to care. Her style just was over-controlling and over-alarmist for us.

Have seen Dr. Schumacher for many years. She maintains incredible combination of competence and medical knowledge with directness of manner combined with compassion. Somehow she maintains this over time. When I originally was assigned her I asked for the doctor with the best sense of humor. Dr. Schumacher has that along with all else.

Just saw that nobody has written about Dr. Schumacher and I have to. I loved her. She delivered 2 of my 3 children and was our family doctor as well. She was excellent in every way. Her nurse, Kathy, was probably even better. Loved them both!!!
