Dr. Rosemarie Lin Shim, MD

Dr. Shim is an excellent doctor. She spends more time with me than any other doctor I have had. She not only has a wealth of knowledge, but she explains things in a way I can understand them. She's also an advocate in helping me become more involved in knowing simple and easy ways I can better take care of myself. I have to say that she is not the most punctual, but she makes up for that in the amount of quality and time she devotes towards my health goals. I completely and highly recommend Dr. Shim.

Dr. Shim exemplifies what a good doctor should be. She remembers everything about my illnesses and takes the time needed to truly understand what is bothering me. I love how she give explanations on why she chooses the treatment plan she prescribes.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shim for a few years. She is a nice person, she seems concerned when you're in with her and has a very caring attitude. But her follow-up care is non-existent and it is nearly impossible to get her to return a phone call. Test results aren't read for months, so if you go in for blood work, just know that it might be 5-6 months before you get the results. Her nurse Kellie is the rudest, most condescending person ever and frequently will tell you to "just go to the ER or find another doctor" if you call with a concern that is urgent but not an emergency, NOT helpful. She also refuses to give messages or return phone calls until she feels like it. Dr. Shim may be good at what she does but bedside manner, follow-up care and feeling like you're important are just as important.
