Dr. Rosemary Naa Nteeshie Ayitey, MD

When it comes to simple illness (ie strep, bronchitis, etc), Dr. Rosemary is very good at diagnosing and getting you in and out of her office fast. HOWEVER, I had been struggling with stomach pain for years, and I also needed a refill on a prescription I take daily. I went to her office and she said I would have to schedule 2 SEPARATE appointments, and she could only address one issue that day, so I went with the stomach pain. I then asked her to test me for celiac disease, as I have a family member that is a GI doctor that suggested I get tested. She said "no, you don't have celiac disease" without even asking about my symptoms...In the end, I asked her on 2 separate occasions to test me, and she would not. I finally went to a different doctor and asked him to test me. He did right away...and what do you know...I have celiacs! I was very annoyed with her just putting off my stomach issues. I was also annoyed that she required me to make several different doctor's appointments for… several issues, instead of going in at once to get it all looked at!! I have a full time job--I can't be taking off all the time to go to the same doctor to look at different issues that she could of looked at all at once. I have lots of family in the medical field, and they said this is a way that doctor's squeeze more money out of you and your insurance. I am very disappointed in her lack of listening to my requests WHEN I HAVE A FAMILYL MEMBER THAT IS SPECIALIZED IN GI DISEASES! She knew that and STILL would not test me. Very frustrating. (My family member is located in another state, so if you're wondering why I didn't have them test me, that is why).

Dr Ayitey is a great Dr she listens to you and takes extra care to pay attention to you and your symtoms.
