Dr. Rosemary Delgado, MD

Personable and gives of her time. Very skillful and has a delicate touch therefore making exams comfortable.

I’ve been going to Dr. Delgado for 17 years. She delivered both my children. She is very knowledgeable. And always takes the time to address all my concerns.

In all my years I have had only 2 Doctors that are the best I have ever had and would go anywhere to see them if they changed cities. Actually I already do and my 2 top doctors are far apart from each other and me. Dr. Delgado is number 1 to me. She is a rare doctor who has shown me how much she really cares for my health and does everything she can to make sure I am healthy or get me back to health. I could never thank her enough!!! And I will not stop doing so.

I left a comment here after the birth of my first child in may 2010 (under Jess) and boy do I take it all back! After fighting for everything with this pregnancy- from not being able to get appointments when needed (per drs orders), to waiting 1-2 hours for EVERY visit during my pregnancy, to having my concerns dismissed and ending up going into preterm labor at 33 weeks. I was NEVER able to get through to a person when I called with any major issue and would wait hours for a call back from anyone. Ended up going to the hospital with no word from the dr when contractions were 4 mins apart and 1.5 minutes long after repeatedly calling the office only to be told "dr is in with a patient and will call you right back". She never did and when I got to the hospital I was in full blown labor and had my son almost immediately. Mind you this was after weeks of bed rest for preterm labor and dr. Delgado telling me to call for any change at all, however any phone called was blown off. Then at the… hospital my son was released by the pediatrician at 8am and the hospital was full so they needed my bed. The nurse came in and said dr. Delgado would be there at 9 am to check me (36 hours after giving birth this could be my first visit from the dr at all!). Dr. Delgado strolls in at 5pm with no apology or excuse, doesn't even do an exam just taps my belly and releases me from the hospital promising to call in pain meds to my pharmacy which she never did. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! oh and they made me prepay for my delivery this time around due to my insurance changing to a PPO and it was a huge pain to get my refund months later.

I moved and decided to switch to Dr. Delgado since she was close to my office. BIG MISTAKE, I was unhappy with everything. From the wait, to being rushed thru the visit so that she could catch up because she was so behind, to the billing, I was very unhappy. Everytime I visited at this office, and I mean EVERYTIME, I always waited at least an hour. A couple of times I had to leave and comeback later in the day. I would ask the receptionist, is everything ok? Is she delivering a baby? No she is here, we will be with you shortly. I never had this problem with my last obgyn, I would be in and out and back at work in less than an hour. And please keep the financial agreement, and you may need it later. If you are a PPO patient, they will try and collect your deductible up front. What they billed me for later was completely different from what they told me upfront. The collected my deductible, but they hospital ended up billing first...frustrating!! Beware

Dr. Delgado is great!! My experience with her was excellent.

I've been going to Dr. Delgado for several years and she recently delivered my first child. While the typical wait in the office for appointments is long, Dr. Delgado couldn't have been more patient, caring and helpful during my pregnancy. My baby was breach and she carefully explained all the options that were available to me. I've had no complications from my c-section and all the nurses I saw at John Muir complemented her surgery skills. I highly recommend Dr. Delgado and cannot wait for her to deliver my next child!

Dr. Delgado is a great doctor. Yes there are a few drawbacks to being her patient- you will wait a long time to see her for visits, but there is a reason- She is usually late because she's delivering babies! Her staff is always amazing (Angie is the best!) and will let you know that she's running behind or is in labor and delivery. She was great through my entire pregnancy, and delivery (which had numerous complications and yet both my baby and I are healthy and I had a vaginal delivery). She listened to all of my issues and spent as much time as needed with me during each visit (it was my first pregnancy). I'd highly recommend her!

I was unfortunately automatically transferred to Dr Delgado in my 9th month of pregnancy after my OB passed away unexpectedly. My records were given to her staff and they held them hostage for $25 when I asked for them to be tranferred to an OB of my choice. I had made an appointment with Dr Delgado just to talk about my birth plan and her reaction to my wishes to use the Bradley method and go 100% natural and her reaction was cold and uncaring at best. Not only did I have to wait over 2 weeks to meet her but I ended up waiting over an hour and a half in the waiting room to see her. Her staff assured me that my appointment would be 45 minutes so Id be able to ask her any questions I needed to and get to know her, but after only 10 or 15 minutes the visit was over. Needless to say I decided to start looking for another "Bradley-friendly" OB ASAP. When I found one only 2 days later and called to have my records faxed to the new doctor's office I was told I had to wait until the following… Wed when their "files staff member" would be in and Id need to fork out $25 to have it done. I informed the staff that not only was I only 5 weeks away from my due date but that any records they had of mine were from my deceased OB's office and had only been in their posession for 2 weeks. Then I informed them about the federal HIPPA law which states they must give me my records with written consent and could not charge more than .25 cents for each page copied. Their response? They told me they were doing me a favor letting me even have access to my deceased OB's records since they're only authorized to give me theirs! They didn't even have any records on me of their own since I met to merely talk with the new doctor. Not only that, they told me that if I wanted to get an even previous OB's records from my first OB I had before I moved that I'd have to contact them separately. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with this practice!

I've been going to Dr. Delgado for over 2 years now and she has been extremely late for literally EVERY appointment I've ever scheduled with her. The wait to see either her or her nurse practitioner is usually between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. They have no regard for the value of your time. Combine that extremely long wait with an average of about 5 minutes of actual "face time" with the doctor per appointment and you've got a recipe for a very frustrating experience. I'm switching to a different OB mid-pregnancy because I'm sick of the long waits and I have no confidence in the fact that she will make medical decisions based solely on what is in my best interest. In her office, you cannot be a partner in your own medical treatment because she brushes your concerns aside and presents her own opinion as a "take it or leave it" option with little or no explanation as to why. I think that we all deserve better.
