Dr. Berkowitz received his MD from Boston University in 1973 and completed residency training in surgery at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He trained in obstetrics and gynecology at the Boston Hospital for Women, where he completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology. He joined the faculty of Brigham and Women's Hospital in 1980, and is the director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Dana-Farber/Partners CancerCare.

My 61 year old beloved sister Anne had a hysterectomy with cervical cancer. Told they got "everything" . Subsequently they suggested radiation. She had three surgeries this year and none of the MDS did a MRI or Pet Scan to see if possibly cancer related. Even with a follow up visit TO DR. B no scans . My sister is now fighting for her life. Be a stronger advocate for yourself. Don't buy all info. You get as gospel truth. God Bless Anne at this point He seems to be the only One who can save my Beloved Baby Sister?

Dr. Berkowitz, saved my life 24 years ago. He had the foresight during my radical hysterectomy, to tack my ovaries, out of the field of radiation. We were then able to do egg retrievals & my brother's amazing wife, carried our son, now 16! He is a very kind and brilliant Professor, of which I was blessed to have the privilege of being his patient...

Great MD with years of experience and expertise in female cancers. Quiet, dry sense of humor, a master surgeon. Saved my life.

We do not know the real reason. But we had very hard time to comunicate with Dr.Ross S Berkowitz, he lives in his own world, old experineces, he had confused to know his pateints condition after see their record only few minutes and ingnored my wife servere symptoms and many sights of complications.As most Sr. Dr in his team, He made Unforgivable mistakes almost costed my wife's life. We do think that he is great Gyn oncologist at Harvard Medical School. But we hope Dana Faber cancer center and Brigham & woman's hospital should evaluation for his current metal health condition and preformace. To make sure he still has ability to practice as before.

He is a great doctor and a wonderful teacher.but he is too busy to watch out his students. His students are not experince, they make too much mistakes whuch can lead very dangrous situation to cancer pateint. After surgery care is very poor.You need very brave and have very clear mind and some medical knowledge to survive from infection and other surgery complication. If you have symptoms please do not wait, do not let his student ignore your problem, they often not think right to report their teacher. please directly reach help from Sr Dr or directly reach Dr. Berkowitz himself.

Dr. Berkowitz was so kind and attentive. He returned calls and e-mails almost immediatley (and on a holiday). Would highly recommend Dr. Berkowitz.

I would highly recommend this surgeon. Professional,reassuring bed-side manner.Thorough consultation pre + post-op. Accurate diagnosis.
