Dr. Ross Ryan Moquin, MD

He did a left retro plural thoracic corpectomy Th 6 in 1998. He did NOT give me pain medication while I was in the hospital. I fired him. I see others who say they didn’t get pain meds after surgery. LAWSUIT!! A physician at the Up State Hospital in NY is suing this hospital and doctor. He is being sued by another doctor for malpractice.

I have been a patient of Dr Moquin’s for over 11 years. The first time he performed spinal surgery I ended up with a major infection within a couple days. He had to remove all my staples, scrape the infection out and stick a “wash” in my back. He then placed me on a very powerful iv antibiotic that blew out my veins on a daily basis. When I went back to see him a few years later because I was experiencing debilitating pain he removed my hardware. I inquired about physical therapy and he responded that I didn’t need it. Well it took me 8 months to be able to even walk to the bathroom unassisted and he told me I was fine. Here it is 5 years later and I can barely walk through the grocery store so my doctor sent me back to him. He now diagnosed me with cervicalgia even after I told him my neck and shoulders do not bother me...just my lower back. He padded my bill that’s my insurance company with a hormone blood test that was never even performed. How anyone has good things to say blows my… mind...I wouldn’t even bring my dog to see this man!!!

I had a 10 level fusion of neck and spine done by Dr Moquin and his team. This was the 3rd neck surgery I had had, so I knew a little bit about what to expect. What I got wasn't what I expected. My experience had been that of a number. Upon meeting Dr Moquin, I was his patient. He educated me, answered questions of my family's and mine. He told me it was a painful surgery and he assured me he would keep me comfortable. Never before, during, or after surgery did I feel like a number. He cared, he listened, his goal was my comfort. He is the best neuro surgeon I have had work on me. Beyond that he has a fantastic team of nurses, front desk people, PA's. Everyone is super. I was very satisfied. Deb Bushneck

Never would I return to this Doctor , very rude and has no compassion what so ever !! He took this visit and turned it into a " bad Habit " session !! Wish I read these reviews before I went !!

I had a car accident several years ago and I had been getting treating with pain injections and physical therapy. I felt pretty good for a while, but I finally reached a point where the pressure on my nerves on my herniated disc was too painful to tolerate and I was getting ear aches and headaches. I finally made the decision to have the disc surgery. Dr. Moquin and his staff were fantastic and my disc surgery was a success so far! thanks for making me comfortable.

This doctor should not be practicing. He has ruined my father's life! My father walked into the hospital for surgery with a slight limp in his L leg and came out of surgery paralyzed for 3 months. My father cannot walk without a walker and he has had several second opinions and all of them have said that the WRONG surgery was done on the WRONG part of his spine. This doctor has aged my father 20 years. It has also devastated his family to see him this way. Do not let this doctor touch you!

I had a back fussion, 3 surgeries in 1 1/2 yrs. i have pain and the DR will not call back, the staff does not call for x-rays or other tests. the saff is snubish, the DR MOquin does not spend time explaining details.. his way or no way. His Assistance's make wrong decissions. my opinion... find a different surgeon.
