Dr. Roxy Fay Szeftel, MD

Words cant begin to express what i think abput her lack pf class, ability and the fact that she is totally uncouth. I do not recommend having your child see her. It looks like her office is permanently closed and that is the one thing Dr Roxy has done right. The Redwood Coast Regional Center could not believe her behavior and was left to just try to apologize for someone who should have apologized for her own behavior.

In the begining of the sessions one has to build trust. My son had trouble understanding & controling his anger. We, my son & I attended many sessions for about 2yrs. it all helped both of us. He learned from Share & Care to visits to the hospital, sessions with the Psychiatrist all paid off. Along with his growth, maturity development kicked-in... we struggled to listen to one another, but we learned. I'm so ever grateful to our Psychiatrist. God only knows there where some hard & difficult times. Like a roller coaster ride. Up, down! Nothing was easy during our sessions. But in the end. I'm very glad I didn't hide, rather I faced every moment. I learned a lot. Everyday my son grows a little wiser & a little older... I haven't lost my way, knowing how to talk to him & that I too not loose my cool. I found out that it's very important to understand children's feeling. They are little people who are missunderstood. Just like grown ups, children matter... at least I think so. I feel very… honored for this chapter in my life. I'm sorry for my son when he was so unhappy. But, I do find myself sharing my story with others when needed. I explain to everyone that it's not an easy process; to trust, one has to find it in themselfs to share words of emotions, making changes & the wanting of getting past experiences. I'm realy glad that now I understand differently. My son too, shares with certain peers his views. Well, call us crazy, lol! Now, looking back... sessions to the Psychiatrist office really helped.
