Dr. Roy Ezra Bachar, MD

He is extremely dangerous and should lose his license. Stay far away. He will overprescribe, prescribe multiple medications at one time, change them every couple of days, etc... He does not care to get to know you or your condition. He is just a script writer and a dangerous one at that. At th Even his colleagues refer to him as a narcissist. He is rude, arrogant and condescending. He knows what he is doing is wrong but doesn't care. Don't believe any of the good reviews written elsewhere as he writes them all himself.

Hands down the best head doc I’ve ever worked with. A brilliant man. He doesn’t suffer fools or BS well — he’s direct and straightforward. This is a good thing in therapy. He’s also very empathetic and has an uncanny way of knowing what you’re talking about even if you’re struggling to verbalize it. Love the guy.

So arrogant and full of himself. Barely bothers to listen to what you have to say before cutting you off with his dismissive "assessment". No compassion. I wouldn't trust all the beaming reviews on Zocdoc. I'm willing to bet the majority are fake. Go elsewhere.

We had the unfortunate circumstance of encountering Dr. Bachar at Hackensack Medical Hospital. He entered our daughter’s room and Treated her even though we had explicitly requested that we be present when any doctor interacted with her since she was a minor at the time. When we questioned him about it after the fact, he was arrogant and dismissive. I have to wonder about his motivation to be employed in this profession as he is completely uncaring and unempathetic to the patient, the parents, and only acts in his own self-interest. In our case, he reversed his original recommendation after the hospital leaned on him to do so. I was incredibly disappointed by him, his lack of professionalism, and lack of medical integrity. If I could give zero stars I would!

Dr. Bachar had endless patience with me. He just seemed to "get it" even if I was terrible at explaining what "it" was. I enjoyed speaking with him. He always made me feel like I could do anything and that I was far better at than my mind allowed me to think I was. Very down to earth and kind man.

I had a good experience with Dr. Bachar. I found him to be caring and insightful and very much helped me with my problems. I would recommend him to anyone seeking mental health support.

I first saw this doctor last year when I began having panic attacks. At no time did he make me feel like I was faking or looking for drugs. We also had productive conversations and I never felt rushed or ignored.

Dr. Roy Bachar is one of the most unprofessional doctors I have ever dealt with. When I told him about my anxiety attacks, he scolded me saying that I was faking anxiety symptoms so I could get drugs. He never listens and can't admit to being wrong or potentially misdiagnosing someone.Unless you like being told you're a liar, stay away from this doctor at all costs!
