I’ve been going to Dr. BK due to me being referred to him by my obgyn and my very high blood pressure . When I went last week, he informed that my baby was not getting any blood supply which is causing my baby not to grow ,my blood pressure was tremendously high ( which I already knew), my cervix was shortened, and if I went into labor my baby would not survive. Today I went to him and found out that my cervix did get better but my baby is still not getting any blood supply and my amniotic fluid was low . I do understand that this is a very bad situation but he was very rude how he spoke to me. He gives you absolutely no hope . He straight up told me that it’s getting worse and worse by day and “it is what it is”. He informed me that the baby may not survive. He is not caring at all and I honestly feel like he can care less if your baby survive or not . I have to go back to him this week so I’m praying I get good news but every since I been going to him, it’s been bad news after… bad news. I literally leave his office every time crying . It’s a very stressful environment to be in if you ask me. Also, the lady that checks the blood pressure is tremendously rude. I’ve been keeping a log and checking my blood pressure everyday At home but when I got to the office, my blood pressure was tremendously high . All I told her was that i didn’t understand how the numbers were so high because my log that I brought haven’t been reading those numbers . The lady got an attitude with me and said “well I’ve been doing blood pressure checks for years and kind of rolled her eyes” . She was very rude. So far, my experience has been horrible. I’m praying that some type of change happen and I won’t loose my baby. I’ve already lost one before.

Staff is awesome quality care with patients

I did not choose Dr. BK as a high-risk doctor. My OB consulted with him, and he was allowed to make decisions on my OB care from that point on. My first experience with him was for genetic testing, as I was over 40. Even though he had non-invasive blood tests that would show genetic defects with a 99.9% accuracy, and which my insurance would cover, he chose to discuss invasive and dangerous tests which have a chance of causing miscarriage. Also, he told me it was highly likely that I would have a baby with some sort of genetic issue solely due to my age. He was very cold, uncaring, and he almost seemed to take joy in being negative. (By the way, my baby was born with no genetic issues.) At 33 weeks, I was told that I would need an ultrasound at the hospital because his office was booked for the next few days. Once I was there, I was admitted, and no one would let me leave without his approval. He ordered 4 days of mag at the maximum dose despite the fact that I was not in… active labor, was in no danger of going into labor, and did not have severe pre-e. I was only having Braxton Hicks contractions, which I did not even feel. In fact, I had just come from my OB’s office, who confirmed I was not in labor, and who did not agree with his plan for mag. After almost overdosing on mag and losing all reflexes, I had to have my blood tested every 30 minutes to make sure the levels were coming down. My OB pressed to have me removed from mag completely, and he still refused. Even after I was done with mag, he still refused to let me leave. Also, the mag did not diminish my Braxton Hicks contractions. I was transferred to an antepartum room and was told that no one could tell me when I could leave. He and his nurse came to my room only briefly and each time refused to give me any information on my own health. Also, I was not given full informed consent. I was not told that the mag could affect the baby. (I finally found from an antepartum nurse that my chart contained false information, like bleeding, which I did not have. The whole reason for giving me mag was because I had a slightly shortened cervix, but that is normal when you have had four previous vaginal births.) If you have good insurance, he will do unnecessary tests and interventions, including hospital stays. In fact, he tried to admit me after that just for a 24-hour urine test, which can be collected at home. He and his staff are rude, unprofessional, and I would say for someone in a delicate emotional state such as those with “high risk” pregnancies, it borders on cruelty. I would go to a hack in a third world country before I would let him touch my body again.

His bedside manner is horrible. He will harps on the negatives and doesn't even take the time to treat you. Granted i lost my baby 3 days after being referred to him went in for a preconception follow up and he basically told me i would never have a healthy child after 1 instance of pre-e. I've read enough to know that's not the case. He told me i chronic hypertension (which i don't perfect bp before and after pregnancy and during up until about week 20 of pregnancy) will never go back to him!

Very stand offish.... doesnt serm like the best to me..Will never use him again with any of my future pregnancies. Those Drs that think ordinary people are stupid and dont understand things. Thats him!!!!

Dr. Bk and his sonographers are fabulous.

Dr Bk did a wonderful job of helping me and my baby. He prevented by hypertension from evolving into pre eclampsia. His staff is wonderful and always friendly. I love the sonographers.

I thought he was okay at first when I had an illness early in the pregnancy. When I got over that I had pre eclamptic symptoms. He ignored my claims. I ended up staying in the hospital and being diagnosed there with pre e. He got the results and rejected it. He told me that my symptoms were not pregnancy related. He let me get very ill and never intervened. I walked out of the bathroom at his office to catch some of the staff talking about me. As if I had made up the whole pre eclampsia thing. My life and my childs life should matter. I would never recommend this so called doctor to anyone!
