Dr. Roy Joseph Friedman

Dr Friedman has cared for my husband and I for 12 years. He is a humble caring doctor who really listens. He guides with consideration to your specific needs. We could not have been happier with our care. Dr Friedman would be difficult to replace. Thank you!

Dr Friedman is one of my favorite Doctors. He is VERY attentive to anything I say. Diagnosed my illness when no other Dr (in 20 years) could. Sometimes there is a wait time; this just means that he is taking the time to listen, thoroughly, to his patients and I don't mind any wait time for this reason. One of my favorite Doctors in my Novant team of physicians. I can't say enough good things about Dr Friedman and his staff. ~ NDE ~

Dr. Friedman seems to really care what I have to say. He also does not seem rushed.

Dr. Friedman is, hands down, the best primary care physician I've had the pleasure of seeing. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Gives this patient the feeling that he sincerely cares, and is "on my team". Sometimes the wait is longer than I would prefer, but it's worth the wait to see this Dr. Friedman.

The wait time that I entered is only for the time in the waiting room ... not sitting in the room waiting on the doctor. You have to wait to see the Dr. period. Not completely his fault with the way insurance companies run them but I still dont like it. Novant could do a little pushing back on the patients per hour since they are a huge company themsleves. The staff here seems courteous but in reality it is a show and they are not very helpful. Anything much beyond checking you in and out is seemingly beyond their capabilities. I actually had this conversation with the office manager about two years ago and nothing has changed. She seemed about as interested in having that conversation as any other employee there. Listened, nodded her head and when I was done said goodbye. Honestly if Roy leaves so will my wife and I.

I like that he is understanding and has a calm demeanor. He helps draw conclusions in a quick and efficient manner. He seems to genuinely care. It doesn't hurt that he is an attractive man.

Matthews Family Physicians is one of the better doctor's offices I've been to. I never have to wait very long for an appointment, and though the very first appointment for myself and my daughter was really long, once you're an established patient you won't have to wait very long unless something is going on. The average wait time is about 15 minutes if you get there on time.Dr. Friedman is a very good doctor. He's been treating me for ADHD and always listens to what I have to say, always asks me if I have any suggestions as to what I would like to try as far as medication goes, and I never feel unimportant. I feel like I'm a partner in my healthcare, which is also important to me. I am fairly educated and try to do my research before I go in, and he respects that, which is hard to find in a doctor. He also never tries to lie to me, or says things in an uncaring and insensitive way. All around excellent doctor, and I recommend him quite often.

Dr. Friedman is a caring,knowledgable,and professional person. He found my heart problem when other doctors didn't.I am grateful he takes time to listen.

Wonderful bedside manner. Takes time to listen and to explain things thoroughly. I have been very happy with this doctor. Would highly recommend him. And this comes from someone who has many health issues.

I have been seeing Dr. Friedman since Sep 2007. He is very caring and listens to what I have to say. I would recommend him to anyone.
