Dr. Roy Samuel Pierson, MD

Dr. Pierson has now treated 3 of my direct family members and he has always listened to our needs and helped us heal properly. Most recently, my mother-in-law had a horrible fracture that Dr. Pierson was able to realign without an invasive surgery. He is conservative in his care, knowing that bodies heal in different ways and not everyone needs the most expensive and hardcore treatments out there. Yakima is lucky to have him!

I was referred through the ER. I had an impacted distal radial fracture. The ER doctor told me I would most likely need surgery. I saw Dr. Pierson's assistant who looked at my X-rays with me but not my CT scan, although he referred to it just in terms of having it. When I asked him if I would need surgery he said "Nah I think you'll be fine". I was relieved but left with a gut feeling something wasn't right. I switched to a new ortho who was immediately very concerned about my injury. He showed me my cat scan. With my untrained eye I was able to see that there were four bone fragments Off the end of the radius. The radius was also split in half vertically and the top half bent up. The only treatment was surgery. Without surgery I would not use my wrist again. I was shocked and terrified to think of what could have happened should I have followed the opinion of Dr. Pierson's office. I trusted the physician's opinion Andretti guilty for getting another opinion. Now I find… myself so thankful for following my gut.

Going back for my 2nd knee surgery cause the repair failed. Hopefully it works this time. I have heard he is good on everything else and kind of hit or miss on knees
