Dr. Roy Prashad, DO

I, Elizabeth A. Butler, have been treated by Dr Prashad for a rare autoimmune condition since late summer 2024. It is a rare disease that required careful study and research. The timing of treatment was critical and the doctor saw me almost immediately after I called his office. Upon my appearance at his office he quickly confirmed the diagnosis and began an infusion and medication that preserved my eyesight and vascular health.. He arranged for me to see a vascular surgeon and eye doctor that day. My treatment regimen involves a new medication developed in Europe and Dr Prashad coordinating with my other physicians has researched the medication and treatment with great success. He has shown himself to be an open minded, listening clinician with a superior talent for attention to detail who consults with my hematologist and nephrologist. I give him my highest recommendation.

This is by far the most knowledgeable and compassionate Rheumatologist I've ever seen. His expertise in his field is unmatched. He's exceptionally easy to talk to and you have his complete attention. I am a complex case and have seen many rheumatologists who spend most of your appointment time looking at a computer, this man is nothing like that. Dr. Prashad is a gem of a Doctor,...I highly recommend him.

I've been seeing Dr Prashad for three years now and my osteoporosis has improved significantly. Some of his new staff members and one that has been there for awhile just help me change over to my new insurance and get my medication approved. You may have to wait a bit longer when you come in for your appointment but the results are with the wait.

It’s not easy to write this review, as I have been a patient of Dr. Prashad for years. I just went to an appointment but was told that I did not have an appointment. I told them that I did, but was not believed. As I sat in the waiting room I could clearly hear the lady at the front desk trash talking a new employee, about what she was wearing. I was surprised at the lack of professionalism. As I stood there telling the staff as well as the doctor that I in fact had an appointment, another patient was leaving, and apparently her appointment was messed up too. So, I finally got to see Dr. Prashad after an hour, and one of my issues was a painful hand that needed an injection. He refused to do it, saying he was ‘accommodating me’ and that he did not have the time. Accommodating me? I asked him. Again, I told him that I had an appointment. He did not believe me. He stated that he ‘fit me into his break’ (really? He needs a break at 10am after starting at 9?). He then stated that I could… ‘come back later’. When I got home I was able to find my original appointment card, and I called the office and asked for their email so that I could prove that I did in fact have the appointment. After Dr. Prashad’s behavior, I will never return. It was disgraceful. If this is how he treats patients, I can now understand the high employee turnover at his office.

I have been a patient of Dr.Prashad for quite some time now. I finally found a rheumy who is actually helping me with all my issues. He listens, takes his time with you and gets the answers to your health and what needs to be done. Most times I only wait 10 minutes, unless he is backed up it could be much longer. But, I understand and do not mind the wait. His staff is very friendly and helpful, especially when I call with (silly)questions about my medication and when I am sick. I would highly recommend him and do every chance I get!

I have been a patient of Dr. Prashad for 2 years. He is kind, caring and very knowledgeable. He spends a lot of time listening to what I have to say and is very thorough in finding ways to help control my osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. He is helping me manage the pain and control further damage. His staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Prashad!

When I was diagnosed with OA my son, whose field is Rheumatology, sent me to Dr. Prashad. Thank goodness for my son’s background. I am now getting the best care. Doctor and his staff are concerned with the whole person not just their joints. I never feel as though they are rushing me through to catch up, the appointments must be spaced to allow for the unexpected questions. The office is up to date and always spotless, the appearance of a waiting room gives you a good idea what to expect on the other side of the door. I recommended doctor to my sister for her RA and she is now his patient and thrilled with the results.

The doctor, staff, phlebotomist, and office is friendly, personable, and courteous. They work with you, your condition, and insurance.

Dr Prashad is a pretty good doctor, that being said the wait time is disturbing. I have never waited less than an hour and have waited as long as 3 hours (and I've been a patient for many years) the turn over of the staff, and the lack of professionalism displayed by his employees has really made me reconsider him as my doctor. I wish there was someone there managing the practice, but sadly most concerns fall on deaf ears.
