Dr. Seibel is brilliant, unique and funny. His bedside/chair-side manner is straightforward, brusque but not dismissive, which some may find off-putting. . . it is their loss. Known throughout New England for his quality of care and enormous skill. [A woman from Newcastle, who was referred to Mass General's Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat Center, was sent home with the advice, "The best eye man in New England, and possibly the country, is right there in Newcastle!"] No joking around, if you want top-notch skills, go to Dr. Seibel. . . talk trains or golf with him and you'll find him warm and funny, too.

Went in with sudden vision loss and swollen eyelid only to be told it was just a bug bite and an old vision problem I have only just noticed. This "diagnosis" was given after a visit with the doctor on the phone in earshot complaining about me being extra workload he can't handle. Terrible experience. A week later eyelid still inflamed, vision still effected and all the same unanswered questions.
