Dr. Roy Karl Werner, MD

Went to the hospital for my mother in law. Had her waiting 2 hrs before he seen her. She has aneurysms, a heart condition and other medical problems. She went to the e.r. because she was having chest pains. Instead of acting concerned as he claimed he was to the staff, he was to busy sitting back not tending to patients. He was a smart a** to my family. Very unprofessional. Yelled thru the hospital to take her up to a room before he even told us what was going on. The nurse was more on it then the Dr. He was to busy whining saying he wants to go home. Plsss let him go home. He sounded like an immature child. He is giving this hospital a bad name. I'm sure this hospital can do wayyy better with a different Dr.oh yea and he scared the family acting like she may die if she goes home and in the end it was dismissed as pneumonia.

MD Werner is one of the most amazing physicians I have ever had the pleasure to meet

Dr. Werner is one of the worst doctors I have ever dealt with. His bedside manner was arrogant and did not listen to our family's wishes when my father was admitted to the ER at Kishwaukee Hospital. After 3 visits to the ER within one week for very serious symptoms he told us that there is no medical reason to keep my father and that he was releasing him that night. My father was in a neck brace, had his nose packed with tubing (from a fall two days prior). He could not stand on his own, speak clearly, eat or drink. He does have Parkinson's but had been functioning own his own just a week prior. Despite all of this and our family's disagreement with him he finally reluctantly admitted him for "observation." I firmly believe that had my father's long term doctor had not called and insisted that this was not his baseline and that something was medically wrong Dr. Werner would have been sent him home. If you ever get this Dr.Werner in the Emergency Room or any other medical… situation run far away.
