Dr. Ruby Carrao Alonzo

Dr. Alonzo has retired but I had to write a review on my many years with her. She was by far the best doctor ever. She knew her business, was kind, compassionate and I always felt at ease with her. If I needed to see her "that day" she would make room to see me. I have never experienced her compassion from any other doctor. I am so sorry that she retired but realize, it is time for her after a job and career, Well Done. Thank you Dr. Alonzo. I will always remember you. And Lorraine, her nurse, was one of a kind too. I miss them both.

Dr. Alonzo, she will be well miss! She is very professional and caring Doctor. She was easy to talk to and explain things very simple. There will not be another Doctor who can fill her shoes.. I am sad that she is retiring, but also happy for her, that she is able to retire and enjoy life.

I think Dr. Alonzo is one of the best doctors I've ever seen. Her bedside manner is wonderful and her office demeanor is top notch too. Her staff are courteous; I never had any issues. I heard she would be retiring in the next few years. This is one doctor I shall truly miss.

I love Dr. Alonzo, she is super. I however must say that the receptionist when you sign in is very nasty. She doesnt hesitate to air your business in the waiting room. I have seen women tear up from her. But Dr. Alonzo is definitely the best and so is her nurse.

Dr. Alonzo is probably the most popular OB in Calvert which is why the wait is so long. Even with the long wait, the office staff makes sure they keep you notified of what Dr. Alonzo is doing (delivering, with a patient, etc.) and they will reschedule you if you don't want to wait for their estimated time which is nice. Dr. Alonzo is so nice and caring she remember my 1st child when it came time to deliver my 2nd and really seemed to KNOW me. That's a good doctor if you ask me. The office staff is also very friendly and called me by name every time I went in for an appt. which was nice. It felt like family. I'm so sad I've moved and have to find a doctor to live up to the standard that Dr. Alonzo set.

Dr. Alonzo embodies all the characteristics you want and need in a doctor. She listens carefully to your concerns and always makes certain you are comfortable with her diagnosis and or treatment methods and is thourough in explaining in plan of action. She always takes the time to follow up - you are not forgotten when you walk out of her office. She has made several calls to my home in the evenings to follow up on test results and if she does not reach you personally she will try again until she does. I appreciate the extra mile that she is willing to go even as busy and demand as she is. Thanks Dr. Alonzo!!!

I gave birth and DR. Alonzo told some girl that she could watch when I was in active labor. When I was being sewn up I realized there was someone behind her staring at me. I was told she would call and talk to me about the experience and never received that phone call. If you value your privacy, get another doctor.

I have know Dr. Alonzo about 25 years. She is a very caring physician and a professional. If she is treating you with a serious problem, she will call you at home to check how you are doing. She is the "Best." Her office is very professional..
