Dr. Ruby Sharma, MD

Ruby Sharma, MD, is an attending at the Monter Cancer Center where her clinical practice is solely dedicated to the treatment of patients with breast cancer. She maintains an active medical practice focusing on compassionate, personalized, evidence-based multi-disciplinary care. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology and Palliative Medicine, she is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Her research is focused on the prevention of disease, prevention of recurrence after surgery, and treatment of recurrences. She has a special interest in triple negative breast cancer and breast cancer diagnosed during pregnancy. Dr. Sharma is a member of the New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology and American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She meets weekly with the …interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Tumor Board, where challenging cases are reviewed. In addition to patient care, she is actively involved in the education of medical students, residents and fellows.
