I've been having foot issues for years now and finding Dr. Zak has changed my life. He does excellent work and makes the entire process painless. Katie Katie Trauner has been amazing as well. She has guided me through the entire process for 2 years and her customer service is top notch.

As a flight attendant diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis, I was experiencI guess a large amount of pain, almost unable to walk at times. As the nature of my job keeps me on my feet for hours on end and walking on extremely hard surfaces, I was rendered almost immobile. I called out sick from work to nurse my feet until I could get my second visit and second cortisone shot from Dr. Zak. As I did not know how effective the second shot would be, I asked him to fill out FMLA (family leave) paperwork that would excuse my past absence from work as a possibly ongoing medical condition and would also allow me the ability to do physical therapy if my condition continued as almost unbearable without being penalized at work . I explained the nature of my job, and he has refused to fill out the paperwork. I asked what am I to do if I can barely walk? The answer was, I don’t know. But I’m not giving you family leave for Plantar Fasciitis. I qualify for it and my company sanctions it. I… cannot begin to tell you how disappointing he has been to me.

At my 2nd office visit with the MRI in hand, I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Zak. After he viewed the MRI I needed extensive foot, tendon & ligament surgery. I am now 12 weeks post op and recovering well and walking much better than pre surgery!! If anyone is looking for a knowledgeable, caring, and competent/skilled foot surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Zak, he is definitely a great surgeon as I walking proof!! I can’t thank Dr. Zak, Katie and Vanessa enough for their kindness, caring and how accommodating they were with the scheduling of my ankle/foot surgery!

Dr. Zak is an excellent foot ankle surgeon. I was a lucky person to be fortunate to find a competent, capable and excellent doctor. I had a complete heel tendon rupture and received a quick surgery date to repair the extensive damage to my original tendon. It was a remarkable recovery with no infection or scarring in the back of my heel or calf. I can walk freely, drive and feel normal 12 weeks after surgery. His clinical assistant Katie was tremendously patient with me and ensured all my questions were answered by the doctor within the same day when leaving voice mail callback requests.
