First doctor I felt that really listened to my concerns and was well aware of how other medications interact with each other.

This doctor was absolutely terrible. **DO NOT SCHEDULE WITH HIM.** I was suffering from severe acid reflux for over a week, to the point where I could barely eat or drink. I was rapidly losing weight—**13 pounds in one week**—because of it. After visiting urgent care, the doctor there took my condition seriously, prescribing antacids and acid reducers while expressing concern that I might have an ulcer. They referred me to a gastroenterologist for further evaluation, and I was scheduled to see Dr. Rufaat Mando the very next day. Unfortunately, that’s where things went downhill. When I met with Dr. Mando, I explained my symptoms in detail—I had been running a fever, my chest burned and ached with every attempt to eat or drink, and this was nothing like the usual heartburn I had dealt with before. I emphasized how severe the pain was and how quickly I was losing weight. **His response? Complete dismissal.** He was uninterested, unsympathetic, and condescending. He didn't care… that I hadn’t been able to eat or drink for over a week. Instead, he passively brushed it off as "just heartburn" and assured me it would resolve on its own. **He didn’t prescribe me anything. He didn’t take my symptoms seriously. He didn’t care.** Rather than making an effort to schedule an endoscopy to check for ulcers, he casually mentioned that it would take 4-6 weeks. Instead, he handed me a generic packet on managing acid reflux—**something I could have Googled in two minutes if that were actually the issue.** He also advised me to "change my lifestyle" as if I hadn’t already lost 13 pounds in a week from sheer pain and inability to eat. It was clear he just wanted to get me out of his office as fast as possible. Thankfully, I sought a second opinion. The next gastroenterologist I saw actually **listened** to me. She immediately prescribed two strong acid reducers, which started working almost instantly. She expressed real concern for my condition and scheduled me for an endoscopy and biopsy the very next week. And guess what? That procedure revealed **FOUR esophageal ulcers and a hiatal hernia.** The doctor who performed the endoscopy was kind, attentive, and actually helped me manage my symptoms. They were glad I came in when I did and encouraged me to continue treatment—**something Rufaat Mando couldn’t be bothered to do.** **So, if you're looking for a gastroenterologist who actually cares, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.**
