Dr. Rui Paulo Cerejo, DO

Dr. Cerejo and his staff are the most unprofessional medical group I have ever come across. I had scheduled 2 appointments both cancelled by the Doctor (but not until I get to the office). Due to the fact that I only spend 7 months in this area I could not reschedule until the following year. When I called to reschedule they had a 2 month wait and they would not fill my prescription, that is a non narcotic anti-inflammatory medication for my arthritis. All he wanted was me to come into his office so he could charge my insurance even though the reason I could not see him was his issue. DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR...

Unfortunately I didnt meet Dr. Cerejo.I'm completely agree with the previous patient review , definitely the worst business practice and attitude of Dr. Cerejo staff. I had an appointment at 9:30 today ,I arrived at 9:10am. And the reception lady told me do you think you going to have time to fill the forms out, your appointment is at 9:30 talking to me in a very bad attitude. I did finish to filled out the form at 9:30am and then she told me sorry the the Dr. won't see you today. and ask me to leave the office. I do have proof of the time that arrived to office. I hope Dr. Cerejo and other Drs. at this office know how their staff is affecting their business. unfortunately there are people that are working just because the $$ they don't like the kind of job they are doing.

I never met the Dr however upon arriving to his office on time there was no one at the window so I signed in. I was not early nor was I late. I was on time. New paperwork is allotted 1/2 hour. However I did not receive mine for 10 minutes and wasn't informed until 20 minutes after I arrived that my LAB work wasn't there with an attitude that it was my fault, which I thought unusual. UNTIL my appt was cancelled at 30 minutes of my time invested and waiting 6 weeks for an appt due to the Doctor and office manager, who wasn't in that office, that there is an on time rule and if you are not in the room by the appt time, which is 30 minutes after your appt arrival time, you are told your appt is cancelled and there is an attitude that they have done what they were to do and it is somebody else's fault although they are condescendingly letting you know they understand the reason you would be upset. Beware of the unprofessional staff that has taken the attitude of not feeling doing their… part correctly isn't required along with this no late policy. One of them even had the audacity to mouth I was late while speaking to the Dr office asst that referred me to their office. BE AWARE. By the way the office assistant of the referring doctor said the paperwork was sent 6 times. I will not be meeting this doctor as their are others out there that know the customer is important as well.

Unfortunately I was unable to ever meet the Dr because I could not get beyond his incompetent unprofessional staff. Initially, I left several messages for Vicki, Cerejo's secretary before I could finally speak to her. When I spoke to her she instructed ME to verify that my insurance cover Dr. Cerejo. I have never been asked to do this by a Dr's office. All Drs that I have seen have been more than happy to do this for patients. I initially agreed to do this but did not feel right about it. I then left Vicki approximately 4 messages with no return call. I then asked to speak to the office manager, Ethel, who was rude and minimized Vicki's conduct and not once apologized for her staff's behavior. She then transferred me to someone else to verify insurance. This woman in billing was the only nice person I spoke to who indicated that she did not understand what was the big deal. Essentially anyone could have verified insurance. This nice woman indicated that she was going to call… Ethel to inform her of insurance verification so that she could continue assisting me. This never happened. Dr Cerejo may be a very good Dr, but he lost a patient due to his incompetent staff.

Excellent and professional staff; Dr. Cerejo, kind, considerate, professional and thoughtful;; however, extremely difficult to communicate with office... once connected, most professional and helpful;

Wonderful Doctor with great manners

Great, prompt diagnosis, excellent people skills, wonderful doctor.

Dr. Cerejo has always been spot-on. He asks the right questions, answers my questions to my satisfaction and is kind and courteous. I did experience some staff concerns several years ago, but he seems to have handled the problem. Over the last couple of years, his staff has been courteous. Reviews should be helpful to patients and doctors, alike. A couple of these reviews are just downright mean. This being said, this particular reviewing website might want to think about separating the reviews into two parts: Physician reviews and Office/Staff reviews.

Had to leave a few words regarding my experience with Dr. Cerejo. I've suffered from Lupus for over a decade now and have seen numerous doctors whom could barely ease my suffering. I was refered to Dr. Cerejo about 4 years ago.He did not use me as a guinea pig like so many others and he knew exactly what I needed to ease my many symptoms. Several years have passed and after going through a divorce , I lost my insurance. Dr, Cerejo found a way to continue to provide medications at no cost to me and when I ended up in the hospital with an intestinal blockage due to inflammation caused by stress, Dr. Cerejo came in every morning to check on me before going to his office at NO COST ! He is indeed an amazing Dr. and truly devoted to help his patients. I just got a new insurance and i'm going back to see him this morning. He always called me personally to rely any test results or to check if i was doing okay with the medications i took.
