Dr. Rui Chen, MD

Dr. Rui Chen is an endocrinologist who specializes in diabetes and metabolism, as well as internal medicine. He completed his medical education at Indiana University School of Medicine and went on to finish his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. With 14 years of experience treating patients with complex metabolic conditions, Dr. Chen has developed expertise in managing various forms of diabetes and endocrine disorders. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Dr. Chen practices at multiple locations throughout Houston, Texas, including the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center McNair Campus. His clinical focus centers on treating patients with Type 2 diabetes, diabetes mellitus, and geriatric diabetes. He regularly performs diagnostic procedures such as complete blood counts, thyroid hormone testing, and bilirubin assessments to help monitor his patients' health and treatment progress.
