Dr. Rula Raban Fuertez, MD

Dr. Fuertez is cold and has zero bedside manner. This is even worse considering that she is dealing with pregnant women. She treated us as if we were not intelligent at all, as if we knew nothing and that we just had to listen to her. She gave incorrect test results and was blatant in insisting that she was correct. Then my next appointment I asked the other doctor in her same practice about the baby and they said that he was perfectly fine. Dr. Fuertez should not be working with women at all!

I was skeptical when I met dr. Fuertez, she seemed kind of quiet. But she did my surgery and all went smooth. 2 procedures. No problems at all during or aftercare.

I saw Dr. Rula Fuertez for fertility issues. The first appointment went well, I was impressed with her bedside manner, and I thought we had a good thing going. She never mentioned that infertility wasn't her thing, wasn't comfortable, or was outside of her wheelhouse. She prescribed several blood tests as well as an x-ray. After my first blood test came back with issues, the office called and asked me to go ahead with the x-ray. I was impressed with their attentiveness and ability to keep patients organized. I had the test done. All results were sent over to the office and my appointment for results was booked. The morning of the appointment the office was quiet and I was seen in a timely manner. It all went downhill when Dr. Fuertez came in. She hadn't looked over my results and said they weren't in. Upon my insisting she checked her files only to realize my results were there for her review. She checked them over, said I had some issues (as evidenced in the blood test) and… shrugged her shoulders. My husband's own results were on hand and after looking over his information, Dr. Fuertez said she couldn't help us. Promptly left the room only to return with a business card for a local fertility clinic. I attempted to ask a couple of questions, but Dr. Fuertez simply shrugged her shoulders and left the room. Bedside manner? Horrendous. Considering Dr. Fuertez was delivering life-altering news -that biological children are nearly impossible for us to have- I'd have expected some softness in her demeanor. Instead, we were met with an unprofessional, rude brush off by a doctor that shouldn't be handling sensitive issues. I've called and complained, made the office staff aware, and been told she will receive a slap on the wrist, but I wish I'd listened to the reviews I'd read before. If you're looking for kind care, Dr. Fuertez isn't the one. If you need some emotional support in the throes of infertility, Dr. Fuertez certainly isn't your gal. If you have an ideal pregnancy that ends with a super cute baby, she's probably the right fit.

I respectfully disagree with the previous review of 1 star. My experience was completely different. I saw Dr. Fuertez for the 1st time at her Murrieta location and she was very knowledgeable and gave me the time I needed. She gave me options and helped me with my decision. I look forward to having my surgery with her. Thank you Dr. Fuertez!
