Dr. Ruolan Lori Pi, MD

Dr. Pi made me feel like I was an important appointment in her day on my new patient visit with her for an annual exam. She listened and gave concise feedback. I felt my time with her was well-utilized but not rushed. Also, I arrived early for my appointment and was out of there within 30 minutes of my scheduled time which is impressive to me given my past experiences with doctors' offices.

Love Dr. Pi and I think that she is amazing and brilliant. She has been our pediatrician for over 9 years and with both of my children. I do not love her older, often irritated, medical assistant that is very cold to not only me, but my little ones. I understand that it is a very busy office, but she needs some compassion training. I have also had issues when calling in to schedule appointments. Since I have had my daughter, scheduling has become a nightmare and impossible. I do feel like the scheduling staff expects all of the moms to be stay-at-home and not have a work schedule or their own patients to tend to.

I would recommend Dr Pi to everyone. She is wonderful with my kids and me. Calls back when needed. The one or two cons would be scheduling is very hard to get an appointment ASAP with the office staff. Also no way to email Dr Pi directly for questions or concerns. Overall Dr Pi is a GREAT Doctor!!!!!

My husband and I are content with our decision for our daughter's pediatrician. We initially saw Dr. Pi when our daughter was 4 days old. She was discharged from the hospital with a slightly elevated bilirubin level and a "bili-blanket" for light therapy to treat it. This being our first child, I became worried about her.I called the office in the morning and got an appointment the same day. When we took our daughter in, Dr. Pi was very reassuring and explained what she thought about our daughter's condition and what the plan of care was. Dr. Pi called us later that day to give us lab results. She was again re-assuring.Since that worrisome first week, we have seen Dr. Pi mostly for well-baby checkups. However, we did need to see her for a possible eye infection, and were able to get in the same day.After doing much research, we have decided to delay and selectively vaccinate our daughter. Dr. Pi has been respectful and non-judgmental about it. She initially gave us some literature and… told us her opinion and gave us some statistics. The next visit, we discussed it some more, and and she respected our wishes.I would recommend Dr. Pi to my family and friends seeking a pediatrician or a PCP. My husband and I have decided to make her our PCP since she practices internal medicine.
