Dr. Ruomei Liang

I have visited Dr. Liang several times over the past year and the first couple times she was nice and genuinely seemed to want to help. First visit was for unexplained sores in my mouth she spent a lot of tine trying to figure it out. Second visit was bronchitis she quickly got me a breathing treatment even said she may have to write a script for one, seems nice right? Third times the charm...went in because of back pain (3rd dr visit in a month) had been to other docs even a DO who said he couldn't help I needed a Rheumatologist. Well Dr liang this time was not so caring I had scheduled a rheumtology appoint but it was still a month away, when I told her that she snapped at me that she needed the Drs name and phone number (I hadn't realized I would need this info) I soon realized she didn't need it just didn't believe anything was wrong. This is when it gets good she asks me if I work I tell her I have 5 kids she replys so you don't work? (I disagree) then how long have you been… married she asks I say I'm not to which she says your not married and you have 5 kids and don't work? Then she tries to apologize for insulting me ...nice...it gets better a few mins later dr liang notices that my insurance is Medicare (she noticed this at a previous appointment and seemd to have no problem) now she says how old are you you aren't old enough to get Medicare, how do you get Medicare ? I told her I really didn't want to talk about that. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with you for you to get Medicare so I try to get her to drop it and tell her PTSD then she says so you fought for the country? You in the army you go to war? No well that's what PTSD is. I have never been so outraged at a comment made by a so called dr..thanks dr liang thanks to you I will probably wake up screaming in a cold sweat for the next month or so thinking about what it was that caused my PTSD! I didn't diagnose myself and I spent nearly 15 years in therapy I'm one of the few people who were approved for disability the first time I applied guess they thought it was bad enough. Maybe all you Drs need to consider what the reasons could be before you open your mouth and spew ignorance! I think it's entirely inappropriate that a dr I'm seeing for an unrelated issue makes snide remarks about what conditions or benefits I do or don't have or get! Totally unethical. So if you have paid insurance I guess your safe or perhaps if you just have some run of the mill illness like bronchitis but if you have some serious or difficult to diagnose illness and Medicare I'd warn you to steer clear :(
