Dr. Rupa Vinod Goolsby, MD

Doctor Goolsby has been my doctor for more than 10 years.Very caring doctor, who listens to you ,good bedside manners and very professional in her caring for her patients.I would and have recommended her as a matter of fact,my daughter will be old enough to see an OB pretty soon and DR Goolsby will be that OB.

If you're sitting there reading a bunch of patient reviews, trying to find a right doctor for you, scared about the news that you need a surgery, know that you are not alone. I used all of the tools at my discretion and asked all my friends to find the right gynecologist for me. Thankfully, I found Dr. Rupa Goolsby! She is a rare gem of a physician. Run (don't walk) to go see her! Due to her exemplary level of expertise, she can offer what others can't. Currently, I am recovering from my surgery faster than expected. No complications at all, average blood loss, no post-surgery bleeding, no infections and I attribute that solely to Dr. Rupa Goolsby’s high level skill and care. Besides being an incredibly competent doctor and expert in her field, Dr. R. Goolsby is an extremely genuine and warm person. Thank you, Dr. R. Goolsby!!

My appointment with Dr. Rupa Goolsby was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Extremely rude and does not listen. I will never go back. Avoid at all costs.

I was pregnant with my first baby, and per my regular OB I "needed" to be induced. Dr Goolsby was the physician on the floor that day. She never came in and introduced herself. The only time she came in was when I had been in labor for 8hrs. I had progressed to 6cm, and she made comments about how I was going to need a c-section because I wasn't progressing fast enough. I know now that for a first time mother slow progression during childbirth is perfectly normal. In fact, the average labor for a first time mother is 24hrs. I refused the c-section, so she told me I had one hour to make progress or I was going to the OR. I was unmedicated and I started panicking. It was genuinely the worst experience of my life. The entire medical staff tried to pressure me into an epidural. I had to turn it down atleast 20 times. I wasn't allowed to leave the bed at all, not even to sit on the birth ball. I had so many monitors on me that I felt tied to the bed. No one explained or asked consent for… the various medical procedures done to me. She gave me botched stitches at the end that had to be redone by a different physician at a later time. This Dr is NOT friendly for natural childbirth. This birth scarred me for life. I'm now a doula and an advocate for other women. I have had three more very healing births. As as a whole, I do not recommend St Vincent's hospital to give birth.

Excellent bedside manner. Professional and friendly. Easy to share concerns with.

She takes time and answers all questions. Caring and concerned. I'll see her for life! I feel truly, truly blessed to be in her care.

I'll have to rate Dr. Goolsby pretty low. My husband and I were trying for a baby for a year. I got in touch with her because we both needed to see what was going on and why it had not happened for us yet. She found out through an HSG that I had a blocked tube, but didn't try to figure out what was causing it. I mentioned endometriosis to her because I was having the same symptoms as my Mother did with it when she was my age. She shrugged it off (didn't want to go in to check for it) and told me to drop 20 pounds and that it would probably happen then. I know I'm overweight, but no where near to where it should even play a factor into being infertile. I'm now seeing a terrific doctor who is 100% positive it is endometriosis. He will be going in after the first of the year to confirm and clear it up to where I won't be in as much pain anymore. I just feel that if your patient is paying you as promptly as I have, then you should figure out what's going on and give them answers. I'm sure… she's a good doctor when it comes to a regular check up, but I feel like she lacks in other departments.

I loved Dr. Books by. Very comfortable with her. She e was professional and very informative with my diagnosis.

I am such a fan of Dr.Goolsby. Wouldn't see another doctor.

She's a wonderful doctor. It seems they have the same problem as any doctors visit which is the wait time. She's worth waiting for so be patient.
