Dr. Rupa Ravindra Shetty, MD

It’s hard to believe this cruel woman is a doctor. She treats her patients terribly and belittles them. She does not make correct diagnosis’s, and if questioned she “gets even” Will be contacting a lawyer for the suffering she has caused and the Conway news. Lighthouse needs to be shut down.

I would leave a "0" star if that were possible. Refused to help my brother after major surgery even though he has been a patient for over 40 years. Said it was not her job. Thankfully another Psychiatrist took the time to review his chart, listened to present problems and made suggestions on causes and offered med changes. He was improved within 24 hours. Dr. Shetty had no time for this mental health patient and was angry at her staff for even mentioning "something like this" to her. Obviously does not care about her patients. Her laziness and negligence was harmful to not only my brother, but to me as his caregiver.

this is the worst excuse of a doctor I have ever met. she will not listen, nor does she believe anything that is said. she tried to convince me my father was not abusive and said all parents hit their kids. never EVER send your kids to her. she will delay the healing process. worst human being I have ever met.

She was rude, didn’t explain a plan for me, game me some crappy meds & kept me there for 10 days & didn’t help me any at all. I went to the Darlington facility a week later - but the Dr. there took his time with me and changed out my medication completely. Dr. Rupa & the Lighthouse need to go

She doesn’t seem to care about her patients. Cold turkey drops their medication and does not care if you’re withdrawing from it. Her coworkers fear her and state she has a nasty attitude. She does to the patients as well. There is no collaboration with you and her about your treatment. She will not believe a word you say often Cutting you off when you talk. She will change your diagnosis. Not follow any court orders. And if you disagree with her your inpatient stay will be longer. She looks so unhappy too.

Dr. Shetty is not only just a rude overall human, she is a sad excuse of a doctor. I was sent to Lighthouse for my first and only time having a bad reaction to sleeping medicine and wine mixed. No suicide attempt, no suicide thoughts, and no drug or alcohol addiction. She spent her only 5 minutes a day belittling me and trying to convince me I was bipolar and an alcoholic because I have wine 3 times a week. I have never had abrupt mood swings, I’m actually pretty happy all the time and may cry rarely in stressful devastating times. She over medicates every patient and tried to convince me to be on a mood stabilizer and when I respectfully said no, a day was added to the time she would discharge me. None of my phone calls to call and complain or get a reason of why I was so poorly treated are returned and when I get though to someone and start to state my concerns I am hung up on.

This is coming from a 12 year old child who went to Lighthouse mental hospital. She is rude and disrespectful. I literally have a cutting problem and this lady says that I shouldn’t even have a reason to be there. This lady drugs children up and overloads the child’s system with medication. I was talking with a SLUR because of the amount of medication. 1 Star. This woman is cruel.

Sad that this is the best they can do for a psychiatrist at Lighthouse. This Dr (loose term) didnt even have the courtesy to speak to me when she was treating my child at this disgusting facility. She did not help her mental state at ALL. Instead she stuck her on different drugs that didnt help. Thank GOD when my child got out I was able to secure an excellent psychologist for her who LISTENED to her problems and who removed her off the medication that Rupa had her on. She is now flourishing.

This woman showed nothing but contempt for me each time I brought my child to her. Her haughtiness insulted me each time we visited her. I was there for her help with a behaviorally difficult child and she simply abused me as a parent (who is already struggling) . After Dr Shetty decided to add yet a 5th medication to his already overloaded prescription regime, I left her practice and sought another psychiatrist. She in turn, reported me to DSS for medical neglect! I would advise anyone needing psychiatric help to STAY FAR AWAY. She will only confound your already fragile situation.

the last person to spend time with you and actually help you its all about the money no passion for her job at all she has ruined so many lives
