Dr. Russel Harold York, MD

One of the worst doctor's experiences, hands down. My partner and I went to Dr. York's office because my partner was showing signs of Raynaud's phenomenon and lupus. We went to the appointment with a document that listed allergies, family history, and symptoms that my partner had been experiencing over the past year. Instead of reading through this document (which we said he could keep) or listening to my partner's concerns about high blood pressure, gastrointestinal issues, or rapidly decreasing eyesight, Dr. York instead fixated on marks on his skin. He did order some blood tests, so that was something. But overall, Dr. York was dismissive and even combative. A few weeks later, a reception called my partner to say that the blood tests were normal and that there was nothing they could do to help him. Dr. York (or any other doctor or nurse) never personally got back with my partner; in addition, it was very apparent in Dr. York's notes that he did not listen to my partner or… read the document we gave him at all. Less than a month later, my partner was diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome and fibromyalgia, and his PCP suspects he has lupus as well. Please save yourself some time and go see another rheumatologist.

Dr. York barely looked at me and ignored my entire medical history. He never looked up and me. I had several test results and records with me, along with family history, and it was disregarded. He then ordered some blood work, but told me it's not very likely he will treat me because he only treats arthritis. I have stage 4 arthritis. He refused to repeat himself when I had a question and I couldn't be more insulted. I cannot see how this doctor even treats anyone. His jacket said assistant professor. What a joke and waste of time for someone who needs help.

THE ABSOLUTE WORSE. I have been trying to get treatment and diagnosis for my mom what looks like arthritis and twisted hand. Dr. York does not call back and communicate at all with patients. I was referred to him by a younger person, I think that he do not care about older people. At this stage I would not take my dog to him. HE IS THE WORSE. My mom could be dead by now.

If I was his laptop I , I would have gotten his attention. I'm not sure if waiting over an hour to be seen only to have the Dr stare at his laptop the whole time is worth the visit. The most eye contact I got was for recommendations to other doctors or more tests. After two visits and 6 hours waiting I am back to where I started. Not much help here.

Dr.York is a very caring person and acts very professional . I would recommend him to anybody.

Dr york is just a great dr all around. He is gentle courteous kind and taes his time with you I would highly recomend him to any one who is having some issues with fibromyalgis or arthritis.
