Dr. Russell James Bird, MD

As a registered nurse, I am probably more particular and judgmental than most patients. I find Dr Bird to be extremely competent, thorough and compassionate. I feel fortunate to have him as my primary care physician.

He has been my PCP for several years. Of all my Primary Care Doctors he is the smartest. I am 75 and not easy to get along with. I like him because he stays on point, on time with his appointments and he's very smart. Plus, his assistant, Amanda, is great. They make a great team

Interesting to read the other comments. Our experience with Dr. Bird was horrendous. While I do not know that he is inept in reference to his medical knowledge and ability, I do know that he was rude, condescending, and very difficult to communicate and deal with. His negative attitude toward my husband's treatment would have been detrimental, I am certain, had we chosen to continue seeing him. He was exactly what I am NOT looking for in a doctor, which was the one beneficial thing about our visit. I knew what to ask for when asking an MD friend to refer us elsewhere. His office staff, to the contrary, was phenomenal.

I work around docs all the time. Dr. Bird is exactly what I would expect from a family practice doctor.

I was really surpised about how well this physician listened to my needs. I basically was looking for PCP for wellness checks. I had been doing a lot of research and this physician really knew a lot. I clarified any questions that I had. I am happy with him as my physician. His staff is is courteous and his office is clean.

Thorough examination with good explanation; was not rushed and he gave some useful suggestions. Easygoing demeanor. I will return.
