Dr. Russell Barlow Branum, MD

In today for an appt... saw nurse practitioner - haven't seen Dr. Branum in two years. Agree - his staff could use some personal training. Spouse not allowed in for consultation. To bad he is the only Rheumatologist in town.

I really liked Dr. Branum, but because I've missed appts. due to either illnesses then emergency hospitalization, I've been penalized and cannot see the dr. until months later. Dr. Branums office staff have been so rude and wouldn't reschedule my appt. I'm going to go back to Tulsa Bone and Joint! They never treated me horrible as this office has!

Dr. Branum is the only rheumatologist in town and by his own staff's admission, since he became the only one in town (due to another's doctors retirement) he has "decided to turn down several major insurance carriers". I was told I can pay cash or go out of town. All I can deduce is this is a greed driven decision and certainly not one of a caring doctor who wants to help people. I eagerly wait for another rheumatologist to come to town.

I love Dr. Branum. I've lived in Bentonville since 2014, but I still drive down every 90 days because he's been so good to me and understanding. With that being said, the other reviews about his staff are also true. It's almost never the nurses, but rather the office staff. I've had everything from them screwing up the billing and getting hateful because they said I didn't pay when I did, to them refusing to give me the scripts Dr. Branum had already written AND signed because "they don't give prescriptions to new patients." I'm sorry, you didn't go to med school, that's not your call, honey. But in my years of experience with him, his staff in no way reflects his own demeanor with patients. The good far outweighs the bad, and I chose 5 stars because the review is about him as a doctor, not the ladies that work for him on a power trip.

This is the worst staff on the planet. They say things they shouldn't about personal information out loud and to people they shouldn't. I do not believe the X-ray tech knows what she is doing nor does she act like she cares. I had blood work done and I received the results over a month later. Dr Branum ordered an MRI over a month ago and has never called or mailed me the results. I got the results myself from the imagining facility and took them to another dr.

Dr. was great, nurse was great, front staff was nice, xray and lab ladies were nice. Took me 4 months to get an appointment. Was told several times that they did not have my records but when they finally made me an appointment it was fairly soon.

I got a referral to this dr. I was told I needed to call the office and set up appointment. I called. Put on hold. The lady came back on line and said such and such would have to call me back to schedule. That was 8 months ago. I never called back. Rudeness from the receptionist and they apparently don't care if the dr has patients or not.

Dr. Branum is a very caring doctor, he is completely thorough with testing and exams. He takes the time to talk with you, he listens and answers questions, he is personable and cares about the quality of your life. I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of his specialty.

Dr. Branum is a wonderful doctor But to have a staff that cares nothing about his patients is a disgrace! I have worked in the medical field for 40 years and have never seen a staff of such uncaring people. They never return calls. Lie to their patients, tell you that you are not a priority patient if lab is not done in their office. Their office manager is terrible. No wonder she has been fired from multiple clinics! It doesn't matter how good the doctor is, it is not worth it.
