Dr. Russell Browning Butler, MD

The best I can say about Dr. Butler is he must be neurodivergent. Brilliant, maybe, but completely clueless when it comes to interacting with other human beings. Really did a number with my mother's and my late husband's care. If you are assigned to Dr. Butler, do yourself a favor and get a second opinion that doesn't come from a robot.

Russel Butler should not be allowed to interact with human patients. He is appallingly bereft of empathy and compassion. My loved one died because of his inability to feel normal human emotions and understand empathy. He needs to retire or go into research because he is a menace to live patients.

Dr. Russell Butler has been my neurologist for MS for 27 years. He is the ultimate professional, always up-to-date on new and existing treatments. I see him several times a year, and he, and his office staff, are considerate and caring.

Worst physician I ever had the misfortune to meet. Not sure he's even human. No empathy or compassion whatsoever. Always out of town, in Chicago, at conferences when you need him. Just a useless old anachronism. Don't bother with him; find yourself a better doctor.

I see Dr. Butler two or three times a year for multiple sclerosis. He is up to date with the medical literature. I find him easy to talk to. He is always happy to answer my questions and discuss possible changes in treatment. His office is well run too.

Making appts. is easy (which is important to me with my busy schedule). Staff is pleasant. Dr. Butler is very personable and extremely knowledgeable, even with the 'not so common' medical condition I bring to the table. Prior to my first visit with him I was scared. He put my mind at ease and I trust his judgments. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

I have been seeing Dr. Butler for approximately 9 years and have been very happy with him. After I was diagnosed, I went for a second opinion at Massachusetts General and they fully agreed with his diagnosis. I cannot recommend him enough.

Nobody likes going to the dr. nevermind a neuro, but Dr. Butler has always been kind and caring, upfront and helpful. He listens well and trys to answer all my questions. he never rushes me through the visit, I feel well cared for and that I am in good hands. i highly reccomend him
