Dr. Russell Camhi is a primary care sports medicine physician with the Northwell Health Orthopedic Institute. As a non-surgical orthopedic specialist he provides assessment and care of musculoskeletal issues for all parts of the body. Dr. Camhi will review multiple non-surgical treatment options to address your pain and when indicated he performs ultrasound guided injections with appropriate usage of cortisone, hyaluronic acid and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). He also manages sport-related concussion and is the supervising physician for numerous high schools throughout Long Island. Dr. Camhi has been the head team physician for Hofstra University since 2018. He is also an educator teaching the next generation of physicians, and serves as the associate program director for the Primary care Sports Medicine fellowship at Northwell Health Plainview Hospital. He is also an assistant professor at the Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine teaching medical students, as well as residents in …family medicine, orthopedics and physiatry.
