Dr. Russell Gerald Hisscock, DO

We are so sad to see him go! My Daughter and I are huge fans of Dr Hisscock and this clinic. We will miss him thoroughly and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Was seeing a pain clinic in Olympia not even an MD David Overton what a joke no matter what I said I had for pain issues he said that's not a reason to prescribe you medication and drop my dose every time I came in reducing me I didn't want to be detoxed when I came to this clinic but had no choice couldn't find any where else to go explain situation to him told me not to go back to cook over my regiment and until I find a new clinic is writing referrals upon every request listens to what I say which is all that matters most doctors are doctors because of money and prestige well sometimes you find a doctor that wants to help people which is the case too bad he's moving South and retiring soon because only one out of a thousand 1% doctors out there will actually listen and help you no matter what the problem the real Doctor hard to find in America

Dr Hisscock is the nicest doctor I have ever known. He is very patient and warm. He is soft spoken and caring, and really listens to what I am saying. He is very knowledgeable and inquires until he can determine a course of action, with your input as a factor. I feel like he includes me as part of my care team, not just making decisions without my input. He is a wonderful doctor. I normally don’t feel comfortable with a male doctor, but he is the exception.

I suffered a heart attack at the age of 37 while under the care of Dr Hisscock. No labs were ordered when I came to him with pre existing hypertension/high blood pressure and a family history of early CAD. Prescriptions and questions for doctor went unanswered when I would call and went in to the office. I had to call repeatedly but it would literally take a week or more to get a call back from a nurse. Never the doctor. I also ended up back in the ER for chest pain because the doctor took me off the pain killers cold turkey without any withdrawal medication. Long story short I have a lot more medical problems after being treated by him then before I came there. It's not worth the headache or your life. There are better doctors out there.

Dr. Hisscock is an outstanding doctor. He is an "old fashioned" kind of doctor. He is very kind, encouraging, patient, empathetic, and sensitive. He always remembers to ask about my children. His bed side manner is excellent! Plus, he is a very qualified physician. When I needed to be sent to a specialist he made that referral appropriately. He explains issues well. I highly recommend Dr. Hisscock.

I have been with the Dr. for years; for me, this means I like and respect Dr. Hisscock. I always feel that Dr. Hisscock truly cares . I never feel like I am "just" another patient and, now-a-days this is a rare and unique professional approach.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hisscock for 5 years. In the past 3 months I have seen him several times and done 4 - 5 blood work ups. I lost my insurance and became very sick before I started a new job and called to see if he would prescribe an antibiotic but he refused. I have spent hundreds of dollars out of pocket in the last 3 months and I can't get an antibiotic without a co-pay and office visit. After all the blood work and visits he knew my health, I feel that I should have been able to get a simple antibiotic called to pharmacy. I am very disappointed and feel he just wanted the co-pay knowing I was unemployed at the time. I only hope I am better before I start my new job which comes with insurance on the first day. I will be looking for a new doctor.
