Dr. Russell Murray Lee, MD

About 2 weeks ago I accompanied my partner to Doctor Lee's office for an initial consultation based on the results of a recent Cat Scan. Our family has suffered the loss of 5 family members over the past 18 months, (not all had cancer) and I am a recent breast cancer survivor. The possibility and mention of cancer really frightened my partner. It was good that I accompanied her so I could hear much better what was being said. We were so relieved to be able to get a appointment in just a couple of days and when we arrived we only waited about 10 minutes before we saw Dr. Lee. He was very direct, to the point and had already laid out a possible path for us to take, one of which was to have a Pet scan done. He is very thorough. His approach to the scary possibility of cancer reassured us that he was informed and ready to help us. By the time we left we had things in a much better perspective and were finally able to breathe and sleep well again. He contacted us after meeting with his… team of experts as soon as the Pet Scan results had been reviewed in the conference and informed us of the group's unified decision. I have not had this kind of professional medical service in a long time, truly, most doctors are in such a rush probably due to more patients than available doctors. We are grateful and feel blessed by our good fortune to have him helping us, he is an excellent doctor. Make an appointment with a really good doctor and not with a doctor that sugar coats things leading to a false sense of well-being. Blessings to all going through the scary possibility of cancer.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Lee as a result of an incidental finding of a lung nodule. You can imagine how scared I was to hear the word cancer. I am so grateful for Dr. Lee as he could not have been more thorough and detail oriented in my care. At first, I wasn't sure, but please remember I was also not able to "hear" that well due to nerves. Yes, he spoke quickly but not so much so that I did not understand him. It took a minute to get used to his style but I soon realized that I was in good hands, he is a very good doctor with board certificates and many years of practice. Thank goodness for Dr. Lee. In the end I could have chosen a doctor with less experience, a less qualified team and less certification but with a good "bedside manner" or Doctor Lee, an excellent doctor whose bedside manner is not just full of good news and false hopes. Toughen up cookies and find a way to handle the truth about your diagnosis. Please remember Doctors are human they are not Gods.

I cannot say enough good about this doctor. He took very good care of my wife. He was very concerned with her problem and gave us plenty of time to discuss it and to find a solution. I found him to be professional and and caring. He even insisted that we call in a couple of days to give him an update on my wife's progress. I can't understand why the other 3 reviews on this we page are so negative. None of the problems mentioned in these reviews were experienced by us. There was a wait beyond the scheduled time but he was occupied with another patient which we fully understand. I would give him high marks and recommend him to all.

If you want to pay a doctor to be rude, you have the right guy. Ego is huge, information is poor. Communications skill are poor. Doesn't answer questions, refers you to nurse to answer questions. Belittling and critical. Questions are ignored, more interested in telling you how messed up you are. Lot of accusations without justification. Not prepared. Huge ego, reminds you that he is the doctor and you are but a lowly patient and he is the smart one. Compassion is not part of his vocabulary. Office staff must take lessons from him, they are rude and abrupt. Takes a long time to get an appointment and when you finally get in you can count on a long waiting period.

He was very rude and he was wrong with his diagnoses. I went ones and never went back. I dont recemant him at all. And I am not the only one who thing is not a good doctor. I couldnt believe how much the insurance had to pay him for the appointment.

It is apparent Dr. Lee's office staff takes their cues from Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is always late. He is short and curt with patients. The office staff has the same attitude. I finally found another doctor, who doesn't talk down to his patients, actually is interested in what you have to say. Dr. Lee knows one mode he is right, you are wrong, he knows everything, you don't know anything, just ask him. He is rude, ill mannered, and is always in a hurry, a disservice to his patients. If you should say to him Dr. so and so said whatever, he lets you know in no uncertain terms the other doctors is wrong, Dr. Lee is right, he is always right. I ran from his office, what a waste of 5 months, 5 months to get an appointment with someone who needs to learn manners, get off his cell phone and probably go back to school. Yes he was incorrect in my diagnosis.
