Dr. Russell Reid Margraf, MD

I cannot recommend Dr. Russell Margraf highly enough. I recently underwent microvascular decompression surgery under his care, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Dr. Margraf is a highly skilled neurosurgeon who combines technical excellence with a calm, reassuring bedside manner. He took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly and made me feel completely confident in his hands. If you are looking for a surgeon who is at the top of his field, look no further.

Dr. Margraf is kind, compassionate, and highly professional in his medical field. His medical staff are also professional and display high operational standards. However, one person on his staff team who schedules appointments, repeatedly displays rudeness and disregards the patient’s needs. Further establishing a standardized process where appointments are scheduled in a manner which is professional, and that minimizes the chance of any opportunity of discomfort and inefficiency to the patients, would be welcomed.

Took excellent care of me.No facial pain!!

I had a laminectomy by Dr. Margraf. He met me once after surgery & I never heard from him again. His nurse that does his scheduleing is rude, does not follow through and should be fired. Surgery was a complete failure. I am an easy going person & advise others to beware. Maybe they have others on their staff that care.

He told my husband he could help him with his leg and back pain by doing surgery. After the surgery, he told me that his physician's assistant did the surgery. My husband has progressively gotten worse since the surgery. He now has to use a cane to support his left leg, when he did not before. His pain is much worse than before that surgery and he cannot sleep but a few hours at a time because of screaming pain. His now has scoliosis in his spine, where he didn't before. He is now considering getting another surgery with another Dr. to see if his pain and mobility can be helped out . Run far away from this doctor.

dr margraf performed a fusion on my back after a fall. now it's a year later and life is back to normal. I am blessed to have been taken to wakemed after the accident

In 2006 a disk suddlenly ruptured in my neck. Dr. Margraf (who never met me) immediately saw me at his office and did surgery the next day! He, was extremely compassionate through the entire process . I believe he has a wonderful and caring bedside manner. I never felt like just another "Patient" with Dr. Margraf. I feel he's a very humble man & Dr.

Dr Margraff is a really good Doctor, but he has a horrible rude staff. His PA/ Nurse is the worst I have ever dealt with. Once he leaves the room she doesn't follow his instructions and instead she plays Doctor His follow up visit are disheartening He doesn't listen well after the surgery and his PA/nurse even told me. He fixed you so your fine now. Must say I wouldn't ever go back to him cause of his staff!!! They wouldn't even return my calls or make me appointment after I was in a horrible wreck.
