Dr. Russell M. Reisner, MD

My entire experience was exceptional. The staff from the front desk to the nurses, to the doctor himself... they were a pleasure to work with. Scheduling was easy, there's never been a wait in the waiting room. The doctor contacted me promptly with the outcome of pathology reports and prepared me appropriately for possible outcomes. Once my care was complete, I was offered an opportunity to continue my annual checkups with the practice or resume having my mammograms prescribed by my GP. I wasn't aware this was an option, but when offered I've opted to continue under his care. Although the outcome of my situation was positive, I have a history of Breast Cancer in my family. What better way to stay on top of things then having someone who is familiar with your history and the history of your breast imaging continue to follow you. In addition, he schedules a follow-up appointment after your routine mammogram. This means I have not only a radiologist looking at my study but also a… specialist. My GP relied on the radiology report only. If I had to rate my experience based on the categories listed, individually, I would give him and his team the following: Easy Appointment a 5, Friendly Staff a 5, Bedside Manner a 4.5, Appropriate Follow-up a 5, Promptness a 5, Accurate Diagnosis a 5, Spends Time with Patients a 4.5. I see where others may find his bedside manner lacking, I experienced a nice balance of caring and competence. In addition, while the outcome of my diagnosis was uncertain, I found the staff appropriate, caring and encouraging. As far as the time he spends with patients, I think this is subjective based one's diagnosis. I found the doctor to be straight forward and concise. This was a little off putting initially, and I imagine if you receive a positive diagnosis, you may find his style lacking. Overall, I'm going to give him, along with his staff, a 5 star rating. The average score will be over 4.5, so I'll just round up.

My mammogram, an ultrasound and a biopsy confirmed I had cancer in my left breast and a meeting was set up with Dr. Reisner. That was 4 years ago this August 10, 2025. During that time he has had to change two of my appointments. Rather than being upset I have been thankful. Because he chose to see me sooner rather than months past the original date. There have also been times that I have had to change an appointment and his staff was always able to accommodate me. My pre-op and post-op visits have always been the same. Time spent in the waiting room has never been long. And Monica, his assistant, is always present during my exams; and, she and the other staff are so pleassant. Dr. Reisner has always made me feel at ease. I have never felt rushed and I have never been left in an examination room for a long time waiting for him and feeling like he has forgotten me. He patiently and sincerely listens to my concerns and thoroughly explains things whether I'm alone or accompanied… by my daughter. My well-being has always been foremost in his treatment of me and I highly recomment him.

The worst dr ever! Called my sister at work after her routine mammogram to tell her she had breast cancer. He was cold as ice and spoke to her as if it was nothing. She switched to another practice immediately!!!

Dr. Reinser is simply the Best. Was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. From the day of my surgery up to this very moment I have never experienced any pain. Dr. Riesner is the “Man with the Blessed hands”. Thank you again, Dr. Reisner for you concerned For my well being coupled your dedication to medication you are Always in my prayers. I never had surgery except given birth. However, from my very first encounter with Dr. Reisner I was so much at ease from the onset of our encounter. He is genuinely honest and interested in his field of work as well as his caring for his patients that he serves. He is friendly but at the same time he is also a serious person. You can feel his beautiful spirit. Directly After my surgery I had absolutely no pain from day one moving forward to this day. So sorry to see that Dr. Reisner is no longer practicing at CTCA. But, I’m sure that he is in great demand because there are many people who need his service. Thank you Dr. Reisner for all that you have done for me. Love, Betty M.
