Dr. Ruta Sudhir Marfatia, MD

Dr. Marfatia is very abrupt and uncaring. Always in a big hurry to get finished with you. She sees you as an invoice instead of a human being. Never offers advice to help me and never a referral to the specialists that I later found out I needed. Thankfully I found a new PCP who has been very proactive with my medical needs and is improving my health very steadily. I would not recommend Dr. Marfatia unless you are in perfect health and need zero medical guidance, because that is exactly what you will get from her: Zero medical guidance.

If you have any medical issues at all, DO NOT go to Dr. Marfatia for help. Her office staff never returns calls, and she see's you as an invoice instead of a human being with medical needs. You get zero care, zero recommendations, and zero plans to improve your health. She always seems in a hurry and abrupt, bordering on rudeness. My health has steadily gone down hill under her watch and she has been no help at all to me. Luckily, and with no help from her, I have been able to find some very good specialists who have developed a good plan to help with my diabetes and anemia problems. I have also found a new PCP who seems to really care about me. Dr. Marfatia is NOT recommended unless you are in perfect health and are in need on no medical guidance. Because that's what you will get from her: No medical guidance.

Not happy with diagnosis.

I had to get a new PCP because mine of 30 years retired. Primary care at the Wexford wellness Pavilion assigned Dr. Marfatia. She saw me briefly. Seemed in a hurry. I told her about my elevated liver test and she told me to see a liver specialist. She could not or would not recommend one. I had to find one on my own. I also was told to get hepatitis vaccines but did not order them. No mention of a follow-up appointment. I have no confidence in this physician’s medical expertise. Bedside approach is awful.

I have changed employers and no longer am in-network to see Dr. Marfatia. She has been my PCP for years now. Many times, Dr. Marfatia has been able to see me prior to my scheduled appointment time. Luckily I am in good health so my exam may be easier than most. She did give warnings about sugar intake and managing my weight. Dr. Marfatia ordered bloodwork and it was performed same day which was convenient for me because I travel from an hour away. Dr. Marfatia does a good job of remembering me each year as more than just a patient number. That must be difficult to do with so many patients! She is very clinically intelligent, but explains things to me in a simple way which reassures me.

I have seen doctors all over the world and today my wife saw the rudest wench I have ever seen. I would not take a sick stray dog to this women. I do not know who she thinks she, but she act like she is some queen. God this women is terrible. I have some really good Indian friends and she gives Indians a bad name.

Dr. Marfatia had a terrible bedside manner when seeing me. She rushed through questions, gave me no warning of what she was doing (checking ears, mouth, abdomen, etc), and interrupted me while I was speaking. She was incredibly abrupt and seemed rushed the whole 10 minutes I was with her.

I went months with an infection and was sent to specialists when Dr. Marfatia could have solved my issue and treated me and cured me with one simple test that is done daily at primary care offices. She made me feel embarrassed, self conscious and never spent enough time in the room with me. Smart and well educated but not very thoughtful or thorough.
