Dr. Ruth P Clemens, MD

I am now 62 years old and I have to say she is the easiest doctor to talk to and she takes times to answer questions. I hope she doesn't retire any time soon. It will be hard to find someone as thorough and informative as she is!

This was my first experience with this practice and it was truly amazing. Staff was very helpful from scheduling the appointment to checking me in and out. The doctor has the most amazing bedside manner. I absolutely LOVE her, she made me feel so comfortable and it's a plus that she only does GYN. The wait time was fantastic! My previous doctor retired after many years of seeing her and it is a blessing to find such an amazing doctor with such a helpful office staff.

I have been a patient for over 15 years. I will no longer be going here. The staff is extremely rude. I think they get a power high for how they treat the patients. I know Dr Clemens is aware and still allows it to happen. I will no longer give them my business. There are plenty of other good and professional doctors in this area. You don't need to put up with this "abuse".

Best experience I have had with a doctor! She was very nice and helpful! It was like talking to a friend! She is very friendly and relaxed! Took time to talk to me and answer all my questions! Nurse was a lovely girl, so polite and gentle! I highly recommend her specially for menopausal women, it's hard to find a doctor that makes you feel comfortable !

Great Doctor, terrible staff. Short, rude and not willing to work with you in any situation.

I went to Dr. Clemens for a routine well woman visit. We discussed general health issues and some specific women's health items including preventative care. When I got the bill I was charged for TWO office visits because I asked questions about general heath. Only well woman tests and questions were covered by my visit. Any other question resulted in a additional office charge. I was not told I would receive an additional charge if I asked any questions. I feel like this was misleading. I feel the GYN should be aware of your general health. You should be able to ask questions about menopause, body changes, suggestions for healthy lifestyle etc. If you are going to be charged for two visits because you ask extra questions or get feedback from the doctor you should be notified prior to asking your questions.

The front desk staff is very rude. The office apparently has issues considering reviews online.

After having multiple appointments cancelled by Dr.Clemens I'm done! I have been using her for years and could always talk to her office manager for help with issues and now she is gone! Seems like she got tired of this practice too.

Wow! So glad I did not see these other reviews before going to my appointment with Dr. Clemens. The staff is always very helpful. Tracy has been helping me correct a billing error at Northside Hospital. She is always very professional and follows up like she says she will. I could not be more pleased with my choice of physician.

I made an appointment with Dr. Clemens after I had been sexually assaulted at a party to be tested for STDs. It took Dr. Clemens office 2 months to contact me about the results and informed me that I needed to come in immediately for treatment. However, Tracy, the office manager scheduled my appointment an entire month out from the day dr. Clemens contacted me with the bad news. The SAME day of my appointment, Tracy the office manager called me and cancelled the appointment. I was upset they were canceling my appointment for treatment since I had already waited an entire month. I asked Tracy "isn't this too serious to be canceling my appointment last minute?" and Tracy, the office manager, responded "there are women who visit this clinic with much worse conditions than you and dr. Clemens give those women priority since they have been coming to our office for treatment for years." It was so horrible to hear Tracy say this, moreover, I later learned it was also illegal that Tracy told… me confidential information about other patients at Dr. Clemens office. Tracy rescheduled my appointment only after threatening to release my paperwork so I could not come back to Dr. Clemens. I cried and begged her not to do this, and after she hung up on me, and my mother called the office, did Tracy reschedule my appointment for 3 weeks later. Again, the day of my appointment that I had now waited for 2-3 months for, Tracy called and cancelled the appointment claiming dr. Clemens was sick. I called the same day under a different name to pretend to schedule an emergency appointment for the same day and the nurse (not Tracy) said dr. Clemens was available for a 2:30pm appointment. I could not believe it. I'm not sure if it was Tracy or Dr Clemens who decided to lie to me and cancel my appointment for treatment from sexual assault but I have never experienced so much unprofessional at any establishment before. When I collected my paperwork to go to another gynecologist(who I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new gyno, completely different experience!), I asked Tracy how she was able to work in a field that helped others yet have no desire to provide good customer service, her response was "this isn't customer service. This is healthcare." Which truly shows you what Dr. Clemens and her office staff really care about. And the answer is not her patients.
