Dr. Ruth Beth Goldstein, MD

Pediatric Radiology; Radiology; Ultrasound Dr. Ruth Goldstein specializes in ultrasonography and is a member of UCSF Children's Hospital Fetal Treatment Center. Her research focuses on improving detection of fetal anomalies, especially those of the brain, spine and thorax. Other interests include the evaluation of post-menopausal bleeding and the improvement of sonographic evaluation of the endometrium. Goldstein graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor of arts in psychology. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, where she also completed a fellowship in diagnostic radiology. In addition, she completed a fellowship in nuclear medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. She is board certified in diagnostic radiology. Goldstein has been a member of the UCSF faculty since 1986, where she is a professor of radiology, obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences.
